Have you ever wondered why people practise yoga?🧏🏽‍♀

First of all, yoga makes you feel better. It is not only a good work out but it also helps to relieve anxiety and lower the level of stress. Practicing postures, exercising the breath makes you feel relaxed and released. Yoga can also ease pain and improve your sleep quality! 🌙

For our event, you do not need to have any previous experience. Just join us on 3rd April and see for yourself! ✨

As you all know, our event concludes with a meditation session by Ingeborg Guggenberger 🥰

Here is some information on how meditation can enhance your mental health throughout daily life:

Meditation is something very easy.
Anybody can do it, anywhere, anytime and there are lots of different ways of practice - each fit for your mind, your body and your purpose.

Because we are living in such a fast paced world and think throughout the whole day, it seems impossible to stop at some times, even if that is exactly what we need.
Slow down. Relax. Breathe. And forget about all tasks, problems and (especially negative) feelings just for a minute 💆‍♀

With meditation you create awareness and can learn to control your emotions and thoughts and let go of them when you need it the most. You will perceive your surroundings in a new, brighter light 🧎‍♀️

We are all excited to see you on Saturday at our event.
And we are looking forward to Ingeborg Guggenberger teaching you more about meditation and the practice of it 🍃💐

We are very happy to introduce Ingeborg Guggenberger who will guide us through meditation as part of Healthy Mind Healthy Life on the 3rd April 🕊

“The practice of meditation does not depend on age or culture. You can learn an attitude of increasing selfawareness, which is an important link to our surrounding nature.

In my long lasting profession as an architect I have been looking for a conscious interaction with nature. Awareness for nature also means to be aware of yourself. That is why I deepened my yoga practice many years ago. I learned more about yogaphilosophy and yogapsychology. I got my graduation as a yogateacher (bdy /eyu). I have been teaching yoga and meditation for 6 years now – live and online.

As yogateacher by the tradition of Krishnamacharya-Desikachar-Sridhar. I am glad to share the great wisdom of yoga to all people who are interested in a conscious way of living.

And it‘s possible to integrate meditation in nearly all situations of life.

It all starts with your breathing right now.

We thought it was about time we introduced ourselves!!

First we have Katie who is our Production and Program Manager 🕒 and helps to makes sure everything runs as smoothly as possible..

Followed by the two Olivias.. Olivia B, the Finance and Volunteers Manager 💸 and Olivia D the Marketing and Social Media Manager 🤳

And not forgetting Nikola, the Project and People Manager 📌☀️

We are very happy to announce that we have chosen to fundraise for SAMH❕

SAMH are Scotland’s national mental health charity and do extremely important work throughout the country supporting over 60 communities 🤝

We couldn’t be more excited to support them and such a worthwhile cause✨

All profit raised from the "Healthy Mind, Healthy Life" event will go towards the charity and we’ll also announce details soon of an alternative option where you can donate a separate amount of your choice if you’d like to do so 🧘
