I want to talk about my Back to School Photoshoots.

I not only felt the emotions of all the parents this year because my son was starting P1 too, I also understand some of the challenges our little neuro wonderful children bring.

I wanted to talk about this because you might read this thinking I'm directing it at you...
Then here is a lovely fact I was thinking about earlier...
12% of my back to school shoots were neuro typical. The rest were wonderfully unique and I do my best to adapt my photoshoots to their personalities.

I wanted to share this because I am thinking about at least 8 mothers who were so worried about their children starting school. I've heard back from a few and of course there are adaptation struggles like we predicted then there are the ones who just needed that extra support plan which is helping them soar. 🥹💪🏼

You've all been in my thoughts and I want to say thank you for trusting me with your precious milestone memories! My studio is a safe space for every child. The more advice I can get on how to help your child be comfortable the easier it is for me to make it a nice experience for you all.

I've been thinking about you all so much! I wanted to share this so you all know you're not alone. 🌈

Everyone will have an email tonight with your photos, getting through them all now. 📸

A single mini shoot gives you 5 digital images. I sometimes struggle to choose if I know I have more great photos so my website will now let you choose 5 digital downloads as part of your package and if you wish to buy more you can purchase more if you love the rest too.
(I also do print packages if anyone wants prints you can let me know.)

Also how beautiful is little Maya! She was the perfect superstar at her photoshoot, so ready for big school now! 🥰

After everyone's albums are finished I'll be labeling clothes, ironing and sharpening pencils for my big P1 tomorrow too 🥹❤️!

Newborn Photoshoots require lots of patience, understanding, knowledge and trust.

When you trust me with your precious bundle and memories, it's important to me that you have the best experience.

Safety when handling Newborns is the highest of priority. I'm currently working through a Newborn Safety course which will give me Safety certification.
I've added the content below. As a parent to a baby myself, I had a million questions for anyone handling my newborn. Please ask me anything you know.

I did catch up with messages today but I think I have quite a few more from tonight so I'll get back to everyone on Friday.

Thank you to everyone who bought, thank you to all the nursery managers who took a chance on me and supported me, it means the world.
I'll be paying all the nurseries visits throughout August and September.

My oldest starts P1 this year, I was excited to do his photoshoot but he had an accident yesterday and his handsome wee face is in a mess 😔.

So I'm giving away a FREE Back to School Mini Shoot.
All you have to do is :
🍎 Tag someone with a primary 1 starter.

You can enter if you've already booked and I'll refund the deposit at your photoshoot! 📸

Winner must be available on Thursday at 5:15pm in full school uniform. Photos will be used to advertise.

I've woke to a full inbox due to my website reminding all parents that nursery photos expire soon. I photographed over 540 children so you can imagine the volume.
Please read below if you have contacted me. I started replying but for every reply I received many more. 😬

I'm myself with my baby all day today and have clubs etc to take my oldest to as well. I don't have any work time at the laptop this week due to my husband's shifts, weddings and mumming.

📸 If you've received a reminder, this means you've received your album to the same email address, check your junk / spam folder or use your search bar in your emails.

📸 If you haven't received your album then you may have entered the wrong email address when registering on the link / QR code, you may not have registered, or maybe your child may not have been feeling up to photos on the day. I'd need to spend time at the laptop to investigate this for you.

📸 Print package discounts are applied on the basis of choosing 1 photo per package as explained in the description. You can purchase single photos if you'd like more than one or buy the digital downloads and print yourself if it works out better for you.

📸 Prints take 2-3 weeks to be delivered.

📸 To buy, you simply add the photo to your basket, then click the basket and select whether you want prints or digital etc then check out.

📸 If you did not download your digital downloads and the link has expired, I'll need to resend this for you.

Please don't worry about the expiry date as I can extend it, I won't be deleting your photos. But each of your enquiries will take time to investigate and get back to you on, it could be next week before I get time.

Coby is crawling fast and has discovered cables so who needs the gym just now eh? 😂 I know all you mum's know this stage! 🙈

Huge Congratulations to Mr & Mrs McLaren 🤍

Lorraine & Barrie chose Helensburgh Registry Office for the Ceremony and the views were incredible! Then on to The Inn on Loch Lomond for more breath taking scenery.

When Lorraine contacted me, she told me they're not fans of getting their photos taken, they'd rather have more candid than posed.
A lot of people think that great candid photos mean catching them off guard. However, to get results like these it's my job to create a candid moment for you in order to get the right background, lighting and have flattering candid moments. The results did not disappoint! 🤍

We got a beautiful sunny day for it and spent every moment laughing, thank you for choosing me as your photographer, I wish you a lifetime of happy memories as husband and wife. 🥰

Why do photographers take so long to deliver photos?

A good photographer will know how to create the photos to the best standard, that can mean deliberately under exposing the main subject. I wanted the landscape in this photo so I had to expose for the landscape then enhance the couple in edit for the best results.

Also in non posed candid moments like these I can't set the scene by removing the rubbish or scoping for the pillars etc. So if I can remove them I do.

I want my couples to get butterflies when they see their albums, not just from the memories but from seeing the true beauty of their day how I saw it.

This photo is just the one I'm editing right now, I can't wait to show you the best ones from Lorraine and Barrie's album once completed 😍!
