Please remember ALL of us can report any ASB using link below or calling 101. ASB does include excess noise, dangerous driving and concern for safety of oneself or others.

As part of ASB Awareness Week, our Neighbourhood Policing and Prevention Teams will be conducting high-visibility patrols in key areas identified as ASB Hotspots under Operation Ivydene.

These patrols are aimed to tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) and addressing incidents of serious violence, helping to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our community.

Planned patrol locations include:
🔹 Aberystwyth
🔹 Aberaeron
🔹 Carmarthen town
🔹 Llanelli town and rural
🔹 Ammanford

Officers will also be visiting local businesses and public spaces to engage with the community, listen to concerns, and provide visible reassurance.
We will remain committed and keeping our communities safe, informed, and supported.

🔎 Could you gather evidence so strong that a suspect pleads guilty at their first court appearance?

Applications close on Wednesday, July 2

Fingerprints, shoeprints, witness statements, video doorbell footage … these all make up the evidence file presented to court when a suspect is charged with a crime.

A number of cases recently have seen officers put together evidence files so strong that the defendant has admitted the offence at the first opportunity in court. This saves a victim the distress of sitting through a trial, where often traumatising information is spoken about in detail.

If that sounds like the sort of role you’re interested in, check out our recruitment page to find out more ➡ https://orlo.uk/ZzRSc

☯️ Ideas into Action | Haverfordwest Action Forum

🫵 Let’s work together to put Haverfordwest at the heart of Pembrokeshire’s 'What’s On' calendar. Come and share your thoughts, hear from others, and help shape the next steps for our town. Together, we can make Haverfordwest a town full of celebration, creativity, and connection.

☯️ Thursday 3rd July
☯️ Haverhub | Haverfordwest
☯️ Everyone welcome
☯️ 6:00–8:00 PM
☯️ Followed by bar and informal discussions until 9pm.

Anyone and everyone interested in improving Haverfordwest is welcome to join the third town forum meeting. The group will be building on ideas raised in previous conversations, working together to develop practical plans and next steps.

One of the questions to be discussed is, “How can we create a vibrant annual programme of festivals and events for Haverfordwest?”

Haverfordwest town centre is perfectly placed to be a festival hub. With six large church and chapel buildings, their halls, and Haverhub, we’re rich in indoor space — and that’s before mentioning the riverside, town squares, and green spaces. Plus, our central location makes us accessible to both locals and visitors from across Pembrokeshire.

A well-planned programme of events could bring more life, joy, and footfall into our town centre, and your ideas and energy can help make that happen.

Whether you're a local resident, business owner, artist, performer, organiser, or just someone with a passion for Haverfordwest, we want your voice in the room.

Caring for vulnerable people, including those with dementia or Alzheimer's, can be challenging.

There's a risk they can at some point start to 'walk about'. This may only be into the garden or street for a short time, but some people can get lost and go missing. Planning ahead to keep them safe is really important.

The Herbert Protocol is a form that carers, family or friends of a vulnerable person, or the person themselves, can fill in. It contains a list of information to help the police if the person goes missing.

Keeping a completed form saves the worry of trying to recall the information during the stressful time of someone going missing. It also saves time for the police, allowing the search to start sooner.

The initiative is named after George Herbert, a war veteran of the Normandy landings, who lived with dementia. He died whilst 'missing', trying to find his childhood home.
