Spent a peaceful autumn equinox wellbeing retreat at High Trenhouse in Yorkshire last weekend
Although it is the home of The International College of Professional Celebrants, recreates are open to the general public and are highly recommended.

Thank you to the ladies of Lamphey WI for inviting me to be the speaker at their meeting last night.
I was initially contacted to talk about my role as a celebrant but a later I was asked if I would talk about the three careers I have experienced because the WI is about inspiring women.
Challenge accepted.
I did a whistle stop talk covering 50yrs of my life in one hour. 😮‍💨

I supplied a scrapbook of photos to browse during my talk (some gems of my past in there ☺️)
Included some quilting and appliqué items to demonstrate the classes I teach.
Acknowledged the disabilities and life circumstances that have shaped my careers and confirmed my greatest accomplishment, to be motherhood 🥰

When asked “how did you manage all that?”
I explained that faith carried me through the tough times but my mother was my rock and role model.

Another question “do you sleep?”
I have to admit that these days I’m like a very old iPhone, my battery doesn’t last a whole day and needs charging often! 🤭

The warm welcome and friendly faces helped to alleviate any nerves. It was a lovely evening.
If I had any free time I would definitely joint the WI again.
Maybe I’ll have the time when/if I retire one day 😉😊

We had a successful first day at the Haverfordwest county show
Many visitors to the stand and lots of interest about the role of a celebrant
The second day brought stormy weather with high winds and saturating rain but we survived and were pleased to offer shelter to those who braved the elements.

The craft centre will close at 1pm on Sunday 11th August and reopen
(after we recover) on Tuesday 20th August

I attended my first sound bath experience last night
It was an amazing spiritual experience
How wonderful would it be to include a sound bath in your ceremony whether it be a natural funeral or a spiritual wedding celebration?

After 40yrs in Nursing I have decided to retire and focus on helping people in a new career, using transferable skills.
I enjoy meeting people and learning about their story.
I have developed good listening skills and am experienced in creative writing.
I am gentle, kind, supportive and caring.
I am knowledgeable, intelligent, capable and confident.
As a Celebrant I can spend time getting to know families to help create a memorable celebration of their life event.
