DRESSAGE: SUNDAY 3RD DECEMBER 2023

Here are the times for Dressage on Sunday - it is quite a task to try and make sure people arent hanging around too long - and especially challenging to fit this around both the short and long arena tests. I have done my best.

HOWEVER, we have a more pressing challenge to ensure the warm up area - the Outdoor School - is suitable for riding in and not frozen. I will make a final decision on whether we can run or not and post it here on the page no later than 7am on Sunday Morning (after an inspection Sunday morning). If we have to make the decision to cancel this fixture, all entries will be carried forward to our next planned British Dressage date on January 28th 2024.

There is alot going on this week, and I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our Sparket equestrian events STARS competitors all the very best of luck for the weekend.
CANCELLATION: We have taken the decision with South Lakes Horsemanship to cancel the Horse Agility on Saturday 25th November. The planned Horse Agility on the 2nd December WILL go ahead as planned.
If anyone would like to hire the arena on Saturday, please do not hesitate to get in touch :-) (Message the page to Book)

EVENT ORGANISERS/ARENA USERS

To protect our Andrews Bowen Ltd surface, we actively discourage motorised vehicles from driving in the Indoor School... however, we know that sometimes, due to heavy equipment set up etc, this may be unavoidable. This does mean, however, that the 'grading process' to restore the surface before the next hire/user/event may take longer. With this in mind, from 1st December 2023 there will be a £10 Grading Surcharge for those wishing to enter the indoor arena with a motorised vehicle/car/van/trailer etc.

We hope you understand.

Just a quick reminder:

Please poo pick if you horse/pony has a dump - this applies to arena's and all areas on site including the Car Park. All muck should be put on the muckheap to the rear of the wooden stabling block.

Please do NOT tie haynets to the exterior of your wagon/trailer - this creates a huge mess which is difficult to clear up.

In line with our Bio Security Guidelines (complete copy available on request), please do NOT hand graze horses/ponies anywhere on site... you do not know what horses have been there before you.

No member of the public should access the onsite stabling areas at any time - unless given express permission by the onsite Manager.

There is a strict NO SMOKING policy for all buildings on site - anyone failing to observe this will be asked to leave site.

Please ensure all lights/heaters are turned off when leaving the buildings.

The last event of the season is the 12th Nov at Newton Rigg Equestrian Training & Events

Still time to enter and join the fun!!

This is also Remembrance Sunday, we thought it might be nice to have people choose to wear either red or purple poppies (or even outfits) of their chosen colour.

Would competitors, stewards and helpers like to leave a gap at 11am for the 2 minute silence??

Also we will have tea/coffee etc so please stick around and any cakes welcome!!!!
