Just a message to thank all my customers for Valentines Day this week , lovely to see so many of you in the shop in person and over the phone. Valentines Day is on Tuesday! I’ve a wide range of flowers and plants with local delivery! Plus specially for this year we have teamed up with out neighbours and friends - little blocks of fudge and mixed boxes of Valentines cakes - both the prefect addition to flowers for an all round Valentines treat!

We are open till 2pm and Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday! Spring bulbs, winter planters, fresh flowers and food, coffee and cakes too! Plus a new website arriving in February. I’d like to thank everyone that came to see me at North Lakes Wedding Fayre yesterday a lovely afternoon as always and Jen and the team for organising it. Plus Mary has announced her retirement is ‘fluid’ so that’s pleased me no end !

Hello and a Happy New Year! Thank you to everyone for their support in 2022.
The shop itself will be closed as usual the until the 16th of January, but this week will be admin, tax returns , decorating and the new website so I’ll be taking orders for flowers from tomorrow as we’re around for local delivery and collection. Next week we are having some time away so will be fully closed!
Here’s to a bit healthier New Year and a bit of sunshine

Festive baguette of turkey, stuffing, pigs in blankets and cranberry (also on a wrap or jacket potato) and loaded fries with stuffing, gravy, cheese and cranberry sauce. Also a couple of pictures from this afternoon wresth class with Sarah and Kerry - I have a few afternoons available in the next couple of weeks is anyone or a couple of you would like to make a wreath, included is soup and a hot drink first.

We are so chuffed to be shortlisted in the Christmas Window competition- if you are in town have a walk round and look at all the windows in town- they look especially effective at night with the lights on, there are 42 windows to look at in total!

Our winter window is done … a bit of a labour of love this year and lots of meaning for us in it. I made the stars so that’s what got it started and thought they’d go well with backdrop that was used in Keeleys shop last year! Joe made the snowflakes years ago so they come out each year! The toadstool and brown own are special as they were Lees Grans who was Brown Owl she passed away last week and we have lots of lovely memories of her 🦉🍄- the decorations are a mixture of locally made and wholesaler and are for sale !

So this weekend was a big one for me…. myself and my florist pal Val travelled to the Midlands for Fleur Ex event - a sort of trade show for florists, growers and wholesalers ! During the day we watched demonstrations, attending seminars on sustainability and social media, met loads of florists and demonstrators I’d always wanted to meet and looked round trade stands ! In the evening was the big gala dinner and results night- I was a finalist in the Wedding and Event Florist category! We sat with Judith, Rebecca, Stewart, Dave and Sharon from and who were in the same category as me too! Neither of us won but we had a fab night with a ‘interesting’ meal (what was that starter??🤣) , disco and very kind hospitality from .
So I’d like to thank them for that and the lovely key ring charms, Val for coming along , the rest of the Flower Bank and Just Peachy for been such good fun company, and everyone’s good wishes and support and my hubby for being me while I was away abd shiftibg round 2 wedding fairs ! XxLaura
