Nice evening this evening to be back in action at Newbiggin Village Hall, lovely Hall with, new bar area very smart.
Tonight was a cold carved buffet with assorted salads, quiche, salmon pate, assorted cheese and desserts and the place was definitely rocking into the evening

Lovely day today for the wedding of Charlotte and Darren at Creighton Rugby club
With wall to wall sunshine hard to believe its mid March
The menu was a afternoon tea with a selection of sandwiches, mini burgers, sausage rolls, quiche, mini pies, chicken skewers, cheese scones, fruit scones, chocolate brownie, mini meringues, lemon drizzle, viennesse and chocolate éclairs.
Cake stands were made by the groom Darren and worked well

The weather held today for Norman Blackburns fund raising tractor run in aid of prostrate cancer, a fantastic turn out for the event which was well supported and quite a spectacle to see, tractor drivers were served up sausage butties, tea and coffee and a choice of cake

Lovely day yesterday for the new Mr and Mrs Walker starting the day with canapés, then onto a 3 course wedding breakfast of melon with seasonal berries or carrot and coriander soup or chicken liver parfait, main course was chicken on creamed potatoes with cider and apple sauce or Cumberland roast ham with port and red wine gravy or Seabass on Mediterranean vegetables with tomato dressing desserts were profiteroles with chocolate sauce, or sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce or selection of cheeses
Evening was a hog roast. Also on site doing the bar was Bars4You and Weddings by Annabel who was the wedding planner /organiser lots of friendly banter a cracking day had by all

Beautifully dressed marquee for the wedding yesterday of Hope and ollie at the most perfect location behind your parents house, flowers from the church to the dressing of the marquee to the bouquets were stunning, canapés set off the day with a 3 course meal of carrot and coriander soup, Greek style chicken served with Greek salad new boiled potatoes and tatziki, veggie option was feta and spinach tart, dessert was either selection of cheese or chocolate profiteroles, platters of sandwiches were left for the after party whilst they rocked the night away till the early hours

Finally getting round to popping on some photos of Saturdays wedding over looking the stunning Brothers water, there was dancing and music and a good time had by all , starter was smoked trout salad, main course was dauphinoise potatoes with spit roasted lamb, panache of vegetables redcurrant gravy, and mint sauce, vegetarian option was stuffed aubergines with tomato sauce, dessert was as we all know sharing pavlova,

Today's wedding at Melmerby Hall lovely day fantastic weather and 1st one in over 18 months so it was quite a surreal experience after so long, but in a good way the wedding started with a champagne reception outside with an assortment of canapés
The starter was a mixed antipsta style mezz with black pudding scotch eggs, vegetarians had veggie ones and we also had gluten free scotch eggs
Main course consisted of Rib Eye steaks, garlic chicken breast, lemon chicken thighs and legs served with a assortment of salad
Dessert was pavlova, dairy free had pavlova filled with fruits and fruit coulis and soya cream
Evening food was veggie risotto or classic meat, fish and shellfish Paella

Quite a seriel experience today to use the unit we moved into during the first lockdown, to use it for the first time felt like we were starting a buisness from scratch again, which in some respects I suppose we are.
So today we were providing a funeral tea buffet
Which consisted of sandwiches, sausage rolls, quiche, scones, mini meringues, chocolate éclairs, lemon drizzle, viennesse fingers, ginger bread, chocolate brownie and fruit slice
Available for conference buffets once they start again, weddings, christenings and all your party catering subject to availability
