A friendly group who meet at the weekend to jog trails of approx 2 miles. Parents jog with their child as a group. All abilities warmly welcomed. Ages 5-11

Today we ran our last ever regular run as Trail Kids! I feel quite emotional typing this and looking at these photos!
5 and a half years ago my 5 year old daughter asked if she could run a race with a number on her chest like mummy. And from that came my idea. And from that idea has come friendships.
I am so so proud of every single child and adult that has ran with our little group over the last 5 years, and I will miss you all dearly! Stay healthy. Keep on running!
A very merry, magical Christmas to you all and I’ll look forward to a meet up in the spring

The time has come to announce Trail Kids Christmas trail which will be our final ever run!
After over 5 years of running every weekend, this wonderful group must now come to an end.
I am so so proud of what I started back in the autumn of 2017, and have loved meeting each and every one of you! The number of children (and parents) that now run in events and clubs since starting out at Trail Kids is always lovely to see.
So, even if you haven’t been for ages, and If you would like to come along this weekend to run one last time the details are as follows -

Date - Saturday 17th December
Time - 12 midday
Location - Pendennis Point Carpark
Distance - 1.8 miles.
CHRISTMAS JUMPERS or other fancy dress

We don’t usually need to know if you’ll be joining us, but could you please drop a comment or message this time, so as we know how many to get mince pies and hot choccies for 😋

We are a little limited to where we can run right now, with a lot of the trails getting quite boggy.
Hopefully the Bissoe trail will be fairly clear.

Good morning! I hope you all had a great half term 🙂
This weekends trail details are as follows -

Date - Sunday 6th November
Time - 10 am
Location - Gylly gardens, Falmouth
Diatance - 1.8. Miles

We will complete 4 loops of the gardens and then carry on along the coast path to Swanpool. After a quick stop there we head back to the gardens and Voila, run complete 🙂
Always a favourite with the kids (I wonder why 🤔 relay 🍬 😂)

Location - College lake, Trelowen Drive, penryn
Distance - 2.2 miles

Please meet at the gravel car park just before Kernick Gate.
If you drive to Penryn Asda but don’t turn into the carpark, just continue up behind the store. continue up around and you’ll see us on the right 🙂

Good morning
This weekends trail is as follows -

Date - Sunday 2nd October
Time - 10am
Location - Bissoe Trail, Grenna Lane carpark
Distance - 2 miles

Just to give a heads up, unfortunately due to very low numbers turning out it is likely that Trail Kids will be coming to an end at Christmas.
After 5 years of trails, and lots of wonderful friendships and memories made with the children and adults, it is time to call it a day.

I hope that this advance notice gives any children wishing to reach their next trophy enough time to do so.

I have family commitments like everyone else. I also have my own interests which I like to do at weekends. My children have other clubs and activities to attend.
After years of arranging everything else around Trail Kids, I feel it’s now time to put some other things first.

It would still be great to see you all now and again for running or cycling meet ups. But with such low attendance it just isn’t fair for Addi, Matt and Myself every weekend.

This is an out and back trail along bridlepaths towards Stithians lake. It shouldn’t be too muddy at this time of year.

Trail kids have been invited along to Truro half marathon on Sunday 18th September to be ‘medal kids’ at the finish line.
This is a really good opportunity for the children to be part of a great, large event. We will be handing out medals and goody bags to all finishers. It has gone down well with the children when we’ve done it in the past.

Location - Killifreth mine
Distance - 2 miles

The entrance to the mine car park is quite hard to spot and the sign is grown over. It is on the opposite side of the road to the bus stop and thee touring park

This weekend trail is as follows -
Date - Sunday 10th July
Time - 10 am
Location - Maenporth
Distance - 1.9 miles

It is supposed to be hot this weekend, so I thought a trail in the shaded woods at Maenporth and then the kids can have a play on the beach after if they wish 🙂

Just remember to bring some 💰 as the carpark will be charging.

Just 5 1/2 now, she started out at aged 2, walking and jogging 1 mile. Here she is now jogging the whole 2.5 miles!
