Lots of you may be making the switch to introduce into your 'New year, New me' thinking.

As someone who hasn't drunk anything since December 2008, I don't see it as an issue anymore.

However, I can say, because of my other vices, I get it. It's difficult; you may feel left out, but stand true to your cause and allow people to make their own choices.

Working in the entertainment and hospitality industry here in Cornwall, I realise there is another side to the coin. January and February can be the hardest months for our pubs.

So, if you want to meet with friends for a coffee - Visit your local!
Fancy a meal out - grab some pub grub!

These are the months our pubs and venues need you the most.

A pub is not just about the alcohol and drinking: it is about bringing people together, be it a Pub Quiz, themed eating night or a local mic night.

And catching up with friends in your local, is also great for your mental health!
