Bi-Curious George presents Q***r Planet 🏳‍🌈🌍
Wed 5 Feb 25

🐬Award-winning drag king and London’s loveable nature boy, Bi-Curious George, invites you into a raucous celebration of queerness and the animal kingdom.

🐧Repeat sell out performances at Edinburgh Fringe 2023, previously performed at Southbank Centre, Soho Theatre and Kew Gardens, this show aims to shatter the heteronormative binaries through which we view the natural world; a love letter to nature, combining stand-up comedy, parody songs and drag in the form of a nature documentary.

Are you a music, sound or performing arts practitioner or small performing arts company looking for space to research & develop new work, or rehearse a show prior to touring?

The AMATA Arts centre is now inviting proposals for its 2025 Residency scheme, which offers access to our first class facilities for a period of one or two weeks in June-August 2025.

We are looking for artists who can support the academic content of our undergraduate courses and/or the AMATA Arts Centre ‘public’ facing performance programme. Each residency contract is individually negotiated depending on the resources that you need, what we can offer, and what you can contribute in-kind.

For more information and to apply, please take a look at the Residencies page on our website: www.falmouth.ac.uk/arts-centre/get-involved/residencies

The deadline for Summer 2025 residency applications is Wednesday 12th February 2025.

We're delighted to welcome the University of Chichester's performance company, mapdance, back to the AMATA Arts Centre this Saturday 2 March .

Bringing together 14 dancers, three newly commissioned dance works and a restaging of Sarah Golding’s STATE from 2022 – join us for an unmissable evening of dynamic, theatrical and beautifully crafted work by both established and emerging contemporary dance choreographers.

Carrie Whitaker’s Thought in the Dark grapples with the untamed spirit of individuality and personal evolution. Sarah Golding’s STATE is rooted in the relationship between music and dance, Renaud Wiser’s Dear Body is a celebration of the body and ode to its animalistic form, its pride, fragilities and expressiveness, and Yukiko Masui’s For Seasons is a contemporary take on Vivaldi, celebrating the seasons with a global music palette.
