In Scotland, breastfeeding and bottle feeding are both protected by the Breastfeeding
etc. (Scotland) Act 2005.
If a person deliberately prevents or stops someone from feeding a child under the age of two in a public place in Scotland they are committing a criminal offence. If a mother is asked to move to another part of the premises, or leave the premises completely this is also an offence. This applies to places that the mother and child has the legal right to be in.
This means that any person should be able to feed a child when required and in the most appropriate place for them, without the fear of interruption or criticism.

Model Call

I’m looking for one last participant for the project (or a repeat shoot with someone already involved).

One image I’m missing, which I think is important, is an image with milk let down/ n!pp!es showing milk. It would likely be a shot without a top on so we can get an impact shot of your chest to show that breast/chestfeeding shouldn’t be sexualised or taboo.

The participants needs to be available in the next couple of weeks for the shoot & located in Perthshire (preferably) or Glasgow.

Hiya!

Radio silence from me on the grid thanks to a busy few weeks. For some reason I thought that things would slow down a little once the photography phase was complete.

Oh how wrong I was 😆🤦🏻‍♀️

It’s all good with final edits, image selection, sizing, layout planning, merch design, pricing… oh and planning all the additional events that will accompany the exhibition itself 🤯

It’ll be worth it in the end! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

This project has been the biggest photography project of my career to-date. I’m so grateful for the support from the and teams and for every single person who has contacted me about the project.

Only 80 days to finish editing, select images, design, prepare and install the exhibition!

Warrior

This lovely mama messaged me on the day of her shoot to let me know that she had mastitis. My heart instantly went out to her as I remembered the pain and sudden onset of feeling, well, horrendous. Mastitis is what kicked this whole project off. I offered a reshoot at a later date but like a lot of the warrior women in this project, she was determined to push through.

Thanks so much to all of you who are patiently waiting for your photos. November has disappeared in a haze of winter bugs and busy schedules.

As a reward for all my running around, I’ve now caught this dreaded chest infection nonsense 😮‍💨🙄😷 so I’m trying to rest a bit and be back to work as soon as possible.
