If you are visiting, please stop by the Scottish Water at stand 4235 to chat with staff all about water on the road & how we can all play our part in keeping waterways safe, clean, and help protect Scotland’s most natural resource. 🌿💙

We really enjoyed bringing to life this informative installation combining bespoke print, integrating technology,

and using our workshop to craft, signposts, plinths, and a bespoke built caravan.

We are thrilled to be at supplying Technical Support for today’s opening match of with Scotland v Italy. Working alongside to bring the event to life for over 67,000 people attending the venue.

Meanwhile, our AV teams are busy in hospitality getting the Murrayfield suites ready for this weekend, and a further 4 marquees for next weekend.

What a week at the iconic Old Course! We had the pleasure of delivering full event production for an unforgettable corporate gathering. From stunning setups to seamless coordination, every detail was crafted to create an immersive experience.

The 28.5m LED wall added a dynamic edge, transforming the event with vibrant visuals and impactful presentations. We’re delighted to be involved with this setup!

To say last week was busy is somewhat of an understatement.

We had teams in Cannes, Paris, London, Gleneagles and Aberdeen… and probably a few other locations. A huge shout out to our dedicated team and contractors working tirelessly to deliver outstanding events, literally across the globe. And it doesn’t stop now, although a little more local, with shows in Edinburgh (x4) Gleneagles (x5) Glasgow, St. Andrews, Perth and Turnburry (and still in Cannes!) this week.

Thank you to our clients, our wonderful clients that keep entrusting us with their events and throwing us challenges to smash!

Our annual team day out was held at the Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club, where we teamed up to compete in the Hunger Battles hosted by . It was a fantastic day of team building and fun, followed by an evening at the Fringe filled with delicious food, drinks, and an amazing show!

It’s with very heavy hearts that we share the devastating news that our friend and colleague, Stephen Tooth, along side his daughter, Emily, were fatally injured in a road traffic accident on Friday 14th June 2024.

Stephen, or “Stevie” as he was known by close friends, joined Catalyst Event Production Services in 2019 as a Production Manager. Stephen was immediately leading projects around the UK; utilising his ability to plan, lead and deliver all areas of Technical Production. His strong work ethic was apparent in everything he did. Always willing to support his colleagues and his unflappable nature was indeed the mark of the man.

As a respected figure within the AV industry, the loss of Stephen and his daughter Emily has shaken this tight knit community. We know Stephen wouldn’t want a fuss and for things to carry on regardless, but we are shocked and saddened, and feeling the loss of one of our Catalyst family.

The sheer volume of messages both the family and our business are a testament to the respected gentleman that he was.

We were delighted to hear Stephen had entered into a relationship with our industry friend Karen Johnston having met at one of our events where they worked alongside each other for COP26. Their relationship only got stronger over the subsequent years to create a loving family.

Stephen was more than a colleague; he was a genuine friend to all. He was reliable, rose to any challenge and helped anyone along the way.

Our thoughts go out to Karen, Iain & Lynda, Stephen’s parents Dave & Margaret and all the family.

Stephen and the selfless examples he set will forever remain in the heart of our business.

We are thrilled to introduce two of our newest members at Catalyst.

Welcome Tia…
After finishing her college course in audio engineering, Tia joined Catalyst as part of our "work experience programme" where we bring those interested in our industry on to jobs in a paid role to provide valuable taster shifts. Tia quickly knew she was keen to work in the production side of the event industry and so began to work as a freelancer. She worked on a variety of projects, where our Technicians and Project Managers saw Tia’s skill set grow from strength to strength and thus became a logical addition to our team.
Tia has now joined Catalyst as a full-time Technician.

Welcome Kevin…
Working with our Warehouse & Asset Manager and wider warehouse team, Kevin has joined us as an Asset Technician where he will be developing systems to enhance our approach to equipment preparation, the return process and storage to ensure our equipment is presented to the highest of standards to our customers for their events.

We are extremely excited to see our team continue to grow and look forward to seeing what the future has in store for us.

Thrilled to announce that we have installed a life-saving defibrillator at our Bridge of Earn and our Edinburgh sites. We’ve ensured they are located in an accessible area and available 24/7 for emergency use by employees and the public.

In our efforts to prioritise the safety and well-being of our community, we have taken a significant step towards ensuring immediate assistance during critical situations. The defibrillator, a vital piece of medical equipment, can be a game-changer in saving lives during cardiac emergencies.

Towards the end of November, Team Catalyst produced The Founders Conference 2023, at the Gleneagles Hotel for Lux Events
The 20m set, situated in The Henry Hall, was made up of two 12ft projection screens and a bespoke backdrop, where over 200 guests attended.
