Save the date folks! Saturday 15th March, we will have seen most of the six nations by then, at this time of year our thoughts turn to our great mate Dave Armstrong, this was his local and he loved to watch the rugby, drink beer and talk rubbish! Angela his wife and children have, since his passing worked tirelessly, to get the message out about how cruel MND can be. So with the help of the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation | MND Charity, we aim to raise awareness and a bit of cash so the research can continue.
Lots will be going on that day, great raffle prizes, lots of fun, giveaways, rugby, beer and other pub stuff to keep you entertained.

Another big weekend this week, get your curries to the pub by 630pm so they can go into the Curry Comp! We are up for a a couple of awards this year, thanks to you all and the hard working staff members. It's you guys that make the pub for us.

New dish alert! Cod pan roasted, chorizo, beetroot roasted potatoes, petit pois a la francais, popping corn, parmesan bits!

Lots going on at the Little pub in the country, Rugby, Roast Beef and Yorkshires Sunday! The Curry comp in February, more rugby, the fires are on, new dishes on the menu.

It is that time of year again, we have our annual Curry Comp, make a batch of your famous home cooked curry, meat or vegetarian (prizes for both) bring it to the pub before 630pm on Sunday 16th Feb and you will have a chance at winning the best curry, or most interesting, crowd fave and much more.
We provide the naan's, rice and pickles chutneys etc. Last year was a stormer, You don't have to live in the village to enter. Great prizes and so much fun, want to come and taste and judge, only a tenner! If you are worried about embarrassing yourself?
Don't, it's all fun and everyone gets a cheer for entering.
Good luck and worry not we do it on the six nations break weekend!

So Burns night is upon us!
We are full for the supper but yes we are doing the Burns pizza we call it the Blaggis! Haggis, black pudding, whisky peppercorn sauce. Eat in or takeaway for a tenner! Dog of the week, cutest we could find! Oh and a beef Wellington for a special birthday request. Next week the six nations!
