We have some very exciting events starting this autumn.

We aim to start a book club in September. Can people let me know what days/times work for them best?

We have a very interesting series of talks planned. We will publish details for this once we’ve sorted the final details.

We also have a large public event being organised for before Christmas.

So watch this space for details.

Planters outside of the hall now replanted/tidied up for summer. Thanks to Katherine for help with them before the exhibition last weekend.

We have been approached about starting a book club in the autumn. If this is something that you may be interested in, pop a comment below. Also what books would people like to read? We‘d like to include titles which are available as audio books so that people who have problems with paper copies can still be involved.

Craft de-stash at the hall, this coming Sunday. There will be a good variety of craft supplies available, including card making, jewellery making, fabric, art supplies, craft books and even a couple of sewing machines. It’s shaping up to be a good day.

It was lovely to see the hall so busy again on Sunday and gosh people had come some distance to attend the destash sale.

Watch this space, because I’m reliably informed that there are more sales and exiting one day events being planned for the coming months.

Open to the general public 12-3.

Should be a good day, with a varied selection of ”destashers”.

Due to low sales, we have had to postpone our event to March 23rd keep note and spead the word to your friends and family.

It may be grey and very damp today, but it hasn’t stopped a very busy “haggis drive” at the west Carse Hall. It is wonderful to see the hall and car park so full.

Make do and mend session 7-9 in West Carse Hall, Glencarse (opposite the shop). Our first (of many) meeting will be on Monday 22nd August.

Bring along something you’d like to mend, repair or repurpose. We have lots of ideas for the following sessions, and will have a chat on the first evening about what our plans are…..

The cost is £30 for 6 months (meeting monthly). Bring a mug for your tea or coffee and a basic sewing kit (pins, needles, thread, scissors).

Sewing machines will be available in the night.

It has been in the hall car park since February and we would like it moved to allow repairs and maintenance.
