This weeks arrangements both, as per customers request, beautiful Iris blooms.
I always encourage my customers to include any favourite flowers, colours of the loved one into the arrangements I create.
I believe this makes it so much more personal for families at such a sad time

I want to talk about the importance and joy of propagation and pruning
Even if you don’t know too much about gardening, be bold!
The results are so worthwhile!
From a single peony plant, splitting bulbs and re planting, as well as pruning the ‘mother plant’ has meant I gain 2 more plants and over 30 more blooms than last year!
They have survived the winter!
Roses also also apply, don’t be shy! (Oh that rhymes 🤣🤣)
By pruning back drastically (I’m not an expert in gardening by any means but research is best!) Especially as roses are mainly imported and have little scent, home grown roses have such a beautiful scent and I have gained another 6-7 buds per stem by pruning!
Let’s get more home grown blooms!

For this one I thought I would do a video to show how a lot of the bespoke pieces I create come together.
A feat of engineering and I, of course, added lots of detailing as I always do.
Sometimes it is very much a ‘trust the process’.

Just touching base with my customers to mention the new Government Guidelines in place and how it’s affecting the florist industry.
Please see article below
Chrysanthemums are a funeral flower ‘staple’ but they are now classified as ‘high risk’ so have more than doubled in price within the last 2 weeks.
Any customers that have bookings I will be honouring the price quoted, but payment up front may be needed in order to secure the Chrysanthemums are ordered and will arrive on time and be of the highest quality (as with all my flowers)
I pride myself on my funeral arrangements and will not be stopping creating anything that requires Chrysanthemums, but booking ahead will now be essential to ensure they reach me in good time, and prices will reflect the new increase, although please be rest assured, my prices will always be my best possible.
