Another week wrapped, 19 Christmas parties covered, 7 hires, 2 snow machine events, 2 dancefloors out and a Christmas fair today to end the week.

Wednesday, we go again for the final week of parties before Christmas, 17 parties and a wedding reception!

Huge shout out to all the Strobe team for being awesome and delivering great nights, guests loving our work with new enquiries off the back of them and two venues already re-booked for 2025!

Also a special mention to all the hospitality teams at the venues for working such long ours, from setting up, to serving the customers, to the clean up at the end. It’s a cycle of fun and madness but they always deliver every single night!

So with the final month of 2024 now in action, we have one of the busiest times of the year.

Over this month, we will deliver 97 events as a team, including 9 weddings in this total.

We have so much kit out installed in venues to enhance the decor, along with dry-hires over the
Month of outside lighting for “ light trails”, snow machines, festoon lighting, effects lights and a hire of our HDL6 system for the Month just come in!

With all the above happening, my office admin time will be a bit limited, so please bare with me on any email replies, I will come back to you as soon as I can.

A huge extended thank you to all the venues that have chosen to use our services for Christmas parties. I will always give 110% to help you have the best possible nights with our team and we love working with your venue and all your staff and team. We are one big party machine over December.

For people enjoying the parties, just remember that everyone “not” partying, is working hard to ensure you have the best time! So if your food is slightly delayed, that pint takes a bit longer to get poured, the Dj don’t get to play that song request you asked for, just remember we are doing our absolute best for you.

If I don’t get to check in with you again this month, I would like to wish you all a very merry and festive Christmas filled with lots of love, fun and laughter.

Our Roots

I started my Dj career in 1995 at the age of twelve. With a love for wanting to play with sound and lighting, being a Dj was the perfect choice. The first thing I decided on was my disco name, Strobe Disco Roadshow. I chose this because I wanted to stand out and be different to the other DJs of that time who simply went by a personal name or something a little cheesier.

I began by playing at children’s parties and school discos. This developed my Dj skills and built my knowledge and experience. By 1999, I was becoming more and more popular and my work moved to adult functions, festive events, corporate events, weddings and I was engaged as the in-house club Dj for well known venues including Chicago’s, Flares and Liquid.

In 2003 I decided I wanted to become more of a Wedding Dj and concentrated my business in this direction. I soon discovered a gap in the market for the younger wedding Dj and being only 20 myself, decided to fill this void. I invested all my savings at the time into a completely new Dj show and set out to become the youngest, most popular and professional wedding Dj in the area.

Coming to the present day, I have now expanded the business and run a team of five professional DJ’s, all working to the high standards and qualities I have established over the years. We have the pleasure of working in some stunning venues in the area, as well as private home weddings and are often booked to work at long-distances from our home base. We are very proud to be one of a very few highly recommended suppliers to the stunning Bassmead Manor Barns, Orton Hall Hotel & Spa and the Holiday Inn Thorpe Wood. We are also delighted by the recommendations we receive from Barnsdale Hall & Hotel, Sissons Barn, The Haycock Hotel and many other venues in the area where we are based.
