Leigh & Alex were married in a barn at Leigh's family croft near Aberlour in a very intimate ceremony in front of their closest family - we then moved to Inchberry Hall for the reception with more of their friends and family. We also made a slight detour for their coupley photographs to a fishing hut next to the River Spey where the couple had spent much time together as teens when they were first dating! It was a fabulous day, the sun shone bright, spirits were high and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves! An absolutely wonderful couple and we wish them all the best for their continued lives together!

This weekend at Logie Country House Nicola & Jamie were married in a two day wedding extravaganza!

I haven’t said hello in a while, so for the benefit of my new followers & those who have forgotten about me (how could you?!)… Hello!
I’m Rhian, & I just had a big birthday at Christmas time (it’s the new 20 apparently, just with lower back pain and a heap of life experience thrown in!) .
I’m the mother of one awesome, not so little, soon to be 10 year old, who is also a budding photographer!
I’m not only a photographer, but I also teach at the local university too.
I am Welsh, lived there until I was a teen and then moved to a rather remote part of the NW Highlands of Scotland.
I love going on adventures with my daughter in our tentbox, being in the hills, mountain biking, skiing, and spend many an evening after she finishes school at the beach (I have been known to do the school run in a wetsuit!), mostly being absolutely hopeless at paddle-boarding!
I’m also a crafty so and so and love drawing cartoons, creating art on clothing, doing intricate colouring in & also enjoy a bit of interior design too, whilst I’ve been renovating my home.

What got me into photography? - well I was brought up with it, my parents are professional mountaineer photographers and I was brought up taking photographs. I also have a masters degree in photojournalism, as well as a degree in Art History, which has given me a great appreciation for fine art and photography. The jump to professional photography however was made when one of my best friends got married back in 2015 and then my cousin getting married the same year - after that the only way was up!

Last week saw our first wedding of the year at Logie Country House, where H & G had the most fabulous wedding, I literally have no words to describe how amazing the dancing was - H & G are both Egyptian, as were the majority of their guests - so the dancing was to Arabic music, with traditional dances taking place and the emotion of the day was just wonderful!
What a way to kick off wedding season!

This weekend involved a trip to Glencoe, not only for a takeover but also for a pre-wedding session with one of my couples for this year (photos to follow!)
It was magical being back over on the West Coast, a place I spent not only visiting for holidays (mostly for climbing & kayaking purposes), but was also fortunate enough to live and go to school in. Looking forwards to venturing back soon!
