Dragonfly Yurts is a local business using local materials to create a beautiful and unique Yurt. Ideal for creating an extra bit of space in the garden to relax in front of a log burning stove or perfect for hosting parties/events/dinners and now small weddings for up to 50 seated. Each Yurt is hand built to order by Dave in his workshop and can be designed to suit any specific requirements. Yurts

are available to hire and we have all the interior furniture and log burning stoves to ensure you have a cosy and homely space even if it is just for the weekend. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us. We also have our own Yurt if you would like to have a look.

Sometimes life has different plans for you & this wedding on the Isle of Lewis definitely threw a few curveballs.
The wind levels meant we couldn’t put the yurt up as planned on the Wednesday so we had a day free to explore.
It was Tony’s 60th so we took him for lunch to celebrate and ended up becoming part of this incredible Labyrinth celebration of Gemini on the edge of the cliff !

We love seeing how creative you all are with your celebrations. These dinner settings blew us away, I think possibly up there as one of the best.
It doesn’t take much to turn a yurt into a magical setting but sometimes you bring a tear to our eyes with your visions.
This is an 18ft yurt, we have 2 now available to hire. Why not dinner in one and relax in the other ?

Bunting the cross the Yurtmaker has to bear, not his favourite accessory.
Our bunting is made from recycled saris which is one of the reasons I love it, giving back to those who need it most.
I love it in the bags, on the rafters and when it’s hanging from the crown waiting to be taken down.
It’s also the best job to fold it at the end of the hire to get out of carrying other stuff 😉
I’m not offended if you don’t want it but it’s included in the hire. Even a little at the door outside is beautiful
