Everybody is fantastically unique and everybody deserves to have their major life events celebrated in a way that is entirely personal, joyous, heartfelt and momentous. For me, this is the very essence of Humanism. Making the most of the one life we have, seeking to understand the world through logic, reason, and evidence, and treating those around us with warmth, understanding and respect. Whethe

r it is the joyous celebration of a marriage, the loving remembrance of a life well lived, the festivity of welcoming a new life or the re-affirmation of a couple’s special commitment to one another, I will work directly with you to share your unique story and create a heart-warming and truly memorable occasion in exactly the way you wish. Throughout my previous 20 years in the world of estate agency, I loved learning all about my clients, building close relationships with them, being the steadying hand that guided them through times of stress and providing the best experience possible for them. These professional skills, combined with an outgoing personality and a lively sense of humour, made becoming a Humanist Celebrant a natural choice for me. After having attended Humanist ceremonies, and particularly the wedding of my own daughter, I realised that becoming a Humanist Celebrant would be one of the most rewarding roles I would ever undertake. To be a part of people’s most momentous life events is an honour, and to be able to create and deliver a celebration which is entirely fitting and unique is an absolute privilege. This role enables me to combine my professional approach with a genuine enthusiasm for getting to know people and learning about their amazing lives. When I’m not up to my elbows in a varied range of crafts, I can be found dragging my husband of 33 years on adventures around the country in my campervan, throwing myself into freezing cold water in the hope that it will let me live forever, or laughing like a drain with friends and family.

Huge congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Coyle! It was an absolute joy to spend Saturday with Beth and Darren and see them take their first steps into marriage. They celebrated with a handfasting ceremony and drank the whiskey of their fathers from the quaich. Lovely to work with Nicola at and Lindsey from

I had the honour yesterday of helping a lovely family say goodbye to their much-loved Mum, Nannie, great-Nannie and sister. Judy Bird was a lady who was always beautifully turned out, generous, very direct, and who lived for her family. She will always be remembered with love. Many thanks to Natalie and the team at Co-op Funeralcare, and to the staff at Falkirk Crematorium.

I cannot wait for this rustic dream of a wedding next year! I will be pronouncing this lovely couple, Stacey and Stevie, as Mr and Mrs Murray in the heart of the glorious South Lanarkshire countryside. There may even be an alpaca there.....what's not to love?! ❤️

It was a honour to help David Lamond's family say goodbye this afternoon. In addition to being an adored Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa, David was a lifelong Bairns supporter, a semi permanent fixture in Tam Bains, and a proud Lauriestonian. He will live on forever in the memories of all who loved him. Many thanks to Craig and his team at Co-op Funeralcare and the staff at Falkirk Crematorium.

This morning, we celebrated the life of Isobel Nimmo, a much-loved lady who will be hugely missed by all who knew her, especially her "milk laddies". A wonderful Mum, Gran and friend, when Isobel wasn't watching her soap operas whilst skilfully knitting away, you would find her creating her beautiful garden. Many thanks to Craig and his team at Co-op Funeralcare and to the staff at Falkirk Crematorium.

This morning, we shared some wonderfully funny family stories as we said a final goodbye to a much loved husband, Dad, Grandy, brother, and friend. David Iain Barbour was a quiet, gentle, and kind family man who had a gift for spinning the best yarns. All who loved him will keep him forever in their hearts. Many thanks to Lorna and her team at Fosters Funeral Directors and the staff at Stirlingshire Crematorium.

I'm glad that I was able to help a lovely family say a final goodbye to Aileen Corner, who for so many years had been present, yet absent. This kind, creative, glamorous and funny lady managed to pack so much love and so much happiness into her first 49 years. More than many do throughout an entire lifetime. She can now, finally, be fully at rest. Many thanks to the team at Fosters Funeral Directors in Cumbernauld and the staff at Daldowie Crematorium.

Yesterday I helped a family say goodbye to a remarkable husband, Dad, Grandad and brother. Brian Addison had many gifts. He was musical, funny, could recite Burns with gusto, was an inspirational teacher and pioneer in progressive education, and he even had a little boat called Tea Bag. His family have so many treasured memories to carry with them. Many thanks to Craig and his team at Co-op Funeralcare in Falkirk and the staff at Falkirk Crematorium.

This morning I helped a family say goodbye to their much-loved Mum and Gran. Christina Paterson was so proud of her two sons, and today they gave her a beautiful send off. Her strength and her compassion will live on through them. Many thanks to Craig and his team at Co-op Funeralcare and the staff at Grandsable Cemetery.

Today I had the honour of helping a lovely family say goodbye to their much-loved wife, mother, gran and great-gran. Alice Brand was a brave and special lady who touched many lives with her love and friendship. Her passing has given her freedom from the suffering that dulled her shine, and now her memory can shine as brilliantly as she did. Many thanks to Dunmar House Hotel, the staff at Sunnyside Cemetery and tol Lorna and her team at Fosters Funeral Directors for their care and professionalism.

It was a privilege to help the family of Barbara Nimmo say goodbye today. Babs was a much-loved lady who got through the tougher times with her great sense of humour, strength and refreshing honesty. We shared many lovely memories today and everybody left with a smile on their faces as Always Look On The Bright Side of Life played us out. Many thanks to Lorna and her team at Fosters Funeral Directors and the staff at Stirlingshire Crematorium.

Saturday was simply lovely in every way! ❤️ The sun came out and shone for Nicola and Sean as they made their vows under a magnificent tree in the grounds of Houston House. It was a perfect gathering with so much love, a brilliant chocolate ceremony, and the odd gust of wind here and there. Many congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Bradley Martin. It was also a huge pleasure to work with and Charlotte at Houston House Hotel.
