SGOIL CHIÙIL at 25 🎉 we are delighted to share the details of a very special event taking place next year!

The music school will be celebrating 25 years in 2025 and to help mark this occasion, we’ll be holding an anniversary celebration concert in Eden Court (Inverness) on Thursday 19th June 2025 🤩

Applications for the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year competition 2025 are now OPEN 🙌

Are you a singer or instrumentalist aged between 18 and 27 with a passion for traditional music?

If so, you could be in the chance of winning the prestigious BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician 2025 title, a recording session with BBC Radio Scotland, a performance at the Scots Trad Music Awards and one year’s membership of Musicians’ Union.

Entries close on Sunday 4th of August 2024. If you would like to apply, fill in an online application form through the link below, send a 10min audio recording of your playing, plus a short biography and paragraph explaining why you want to play traditional music.
