Can’t believe we had our very own witch trial once upon a time here in the UK, more importantly you can now attend My Haunted Pendle Hill and try to communicate with the spirits of these witches 😱

Alittle history on Pendle hill witches 👻👻👻

The Pendle witches were a group of people accused of witchcraft in 1612 in Lancashire, England. The case is one of the most famous witch trials in English history, resulting in the ex*****on of ten people.

Most of the accused came from two families, the Demdikes and the Chattox clan, both of whom were known for practicing folk magic and healing. The trials were fueled by accusations, superstition, and a desire to root out perceived threats to society. One of the key figures was Elizabeth Device, whose daughter Jennet Device, only nine years old, testified against her own family, leading to their convictions.

The Pendle witch trials stand out because of the detailed court records that have survived, written by the clerk Thomas Potts in The Wonderful Discoverie of Witches in the Countie of Lancaster. The story remains an important part of British folklore and is still remembered today, with Pendle Hill being a popular site for visitors interested in its dark history.

Another fantastic fact and how too about the ouija board 👻🦇

A Ouija board is a flat board marked with letters, numbers, and other symbols, used to communicate with spirits. Participants place their fingers on a planchette (a small, heart-shaped piece of wood or plastic) that moves to spell out messages. It’s often associated with séances and is considered by some as a tool for contacting the supernatural, while others see it as a game or a product of the ideomotor effect (unconscious movements).

Using a Ouija board is typically done in a group setting and involves a few steps to set the mood and conduct the session. Here’s how to use it:

1. Preparation:
•Choose the Right Setting: Use the board in a quiet, dimly lit room to minimize distractions. Candles are often used to create a mystical atmosphere.

•Group Participation: It’s best to have at least two people using the board. More people can join, but everyone should be open-minded and respectful.

•Positioning: All participants sit around the board with their fingers lightly resting on the planchette.

2. Opening the Session:

•Centering and Focus: Take a moment of silence to clear your mind. Some people choose to say a protective prayer or set positive intentions.

•Begin with a Greeting: Politely ask if there is a spirit present who wishes to communicate. A common opening is, “Is there anyone here who wants to speak with us?”

Wait for Movement: If the planchette moves, follow its path without applying force. It might point to “Yes,” “No,” letters, or numbers to spell out words.

3. Asking Questions:

•Start with simple, yes-or-no questions.
•Progress to more detailed questions as the session continues.
•Always be polite and patient.

4. Ending the Session:

•When you’re ready to end, say “Goodbye” and move the planchette to the “Goodbye” area on the board.

•Close the session respectfully and thank any spirits for their communication.

•Store the board safely, ideally wrapped in cloth.

Important Considerations:

•Respect and Caution: Some people believe spirits contacted can be mischievous or malevolent. Maintain respect and avoid provoking them.

•Emotional Safety: If anyone feels uncomfortable, it’s okay to end the session.

•Skeptical Viewpoint: Scientists attribute planchette movement to the ideomotor effect, where unconscious muscle movements guide the planchette.

Another useful technique for contacting the afterlife is scrying👻

Scrying is a form of divination or psychic practice that involves looking into a reflective surface or medium—such as a crystal ball, mirror, water, or even fire—to gain insight, receive visions, or gather hidden knowledge. Practitioners believe that by focusing on the reflective surface, they can enter a trance-like state that allows them to perceive images, symbols, or messages that reveal information about the past, present, or future.

This practice has ancient roots and is found in various cultures worldwide. Some famous forms of scrying include crystal gazing (using a crystal ball) and mirror scrying (using a black mirror or water). It’s often associated with mysticism, magic, and the occult but is also practiced in modern spiritual or meditative contexts.

To practice scrying, you’ll need a reflective surface and a calm, focused state of mind. Here’s a step-by-step guide to get started:

1. Choose Your Scrying Tool:
• Crystal Ball: Traditionally made of clear quartz or glass.
• Black Mirror: A dark, reflective surface, often made by painting the back of a glass pane black.
• Water Bowl: A dark bowl filled with water, sometimes with a drop of ink to deepen the reflection.
• Candle Flame: Some people gaze at the flame to enter a meditative state.

2. Create a Quiet, Comfortable Space:
• Dim the lights to minimize distractions.
• Sit comfortably, ensuring your back is straight and your body is relaxed.
• Place your scrying tool at eye level, on a table or stand.

3. Prepare Yourself Mentally:
• Take a few deep breaths to center yourself.
• Clear your mind of any lingering thoughts.
• Some people like to meditate or say a protective prayer or affirmation before beginning.

4. Focus on the Scrying Tool:
• Gaze softly into the reflective surface. Don’t strain your eyes or stare too intensely.
• Allow your vision to relax, almost as if looking “through” the object rather than at it.
• Keep your mind open and receptive. Avoid trying too hard to see specific images.

5. Observe and Interpret:
• You might start to see shadows, shapes, or colors. These could gradually form into more detailed images or symbols.
• Trust your intuition when interpreting what you see. There’s no right or wrong way to interpret the images—meaning often comes from within.
• If no images appear, don’t worry. Scrying takes practice and patience.

6. Close the Session:
• When ready, gently break your focus by blinking and looking away.
• Ground yourself by taking a few deep breaths or touching something solid, like the floor or a piece of stone.
• Record your experiences in a journal for reflection and to track your progress over time.

Tips for Success:
• Practice regularly to strengthen your focus and intuition.
• Experiment with different tools to see which resonates with you the most.
• Be patient and open-minded—scrying is as much about the journey as the outcome.

Alittle afternoon knowledge about the Estes method👻👻👻

The Estes method is a technique used in paranormal investigations to communicate with spirits or gather information from purported supernatural sources. It was developed at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado, by paranormal researchers Karl Pfeiffer, Connor Randall, and Michelle Tate. The method involves a combination of sensory deprivation and the use of a spirit box, which scans radio frequencies to produce a stream of white noise and fragmented audio.

Here’s how it works:
1. Sensory Deprivation: One participant wears noise-canceling headphones connected to the spirit box and is blindfolded. This person can’t hear the questions being asked or see the environment around them, preventing any influence from the questions or surroundings.

2. Spirit Box Responses: The person wearing the headphones listens to the rapid, fragmented audio produced by the spirit box and says out loud any words or phrases they hear.

3. Questioning: Meanwhile, other investigators ask questions aloud. Since the person listening to the spirit box can’t hear the questions, any relevant or coherent responses are considered potentially significant.

4. Analysis: The responses are then compared to the questions to see if any meaningful or seemingly direct answers were given.

The Estes method is valued for reducing confirmation bias and the possibility of leading responses, as the listener has no knowledge of the questions being asked. It’s a popular technique in modern paranormal investigations due to its structured approach to gathering audio evidence.
