This sounds like something we should all learn 🤓

There's just a few days left before my new ONLINE class "Introduction to Prehistoric Textiles" starts on January 14th.

Over four weekly installments we'll explore textiles from the Palaeolithic to the Bronze Age through practical experiments, and consider what we actually know about the development of cloth, clothing and accessories.

You'll make needles and awls, braids and woven bands, corded and spliced and spun threads, baskets and hairnets ,and work with plant fibres and wool. No previous textile experience is necessary, though more practiced fibre workers are encouraged to try more complex versions of the projects.

I have some absolutely beautiful pieces of natural, washed, heavy duty, densely woven linen grainsack fabric available in my Etsy shop this week. Its a narrow 72cm width, 225 cm lengths, in an upholstery weight canvas, loads of uses but please note NOT suitable for dressmaking.
