The Dartmouth Steam Railway 2024 ‘Train of Lights’ in its multi-coloured glory thundering along the banks of the River Dart.

For PL1 Events Limited it’s not only about the team designing and rigging the amazing lights as we also produce and deliver the event creative production including script writing, audio editing and production, line-side special effects and on-board theatrical show operation along the 6.7 mile route from Paignton to Kingswear and back!

A huge thank you to the team at Prolight Concepts Group who have supported PL1 Events, and the first and original ‘Steam Train of Lights’ since its conception to delivery back in 2018. The LEDJ Spectra Flood and Spectra Par products thunder up and down the track 2 or 3 times each night rigged to the underside of the 10 carriage train and it’s a credit to the manufacturing durability and reliability of the LEDJ products that over the 6 year run not a single fixture has had to be replaced or repaired!

Thanks, must also go to the amazing Chris Slack Photography who continues to capture the most stunning photographs with over 2.7 million hits on Chris’s pictures and video footage in the USA alone!

As well being one of the most spectacular global Christmas attractions, it surely must also be the heaviest, weighing in at 650 tonnes, longest at 233m and most portable single Christmas attraction...in Europe 🤔 We wish you all a very 'Merry Christmas' from the entire 'Train of Lights' crew!

Having originally built the Argyle TV media suite in 2020, it's been amazing to see the process grow, like taking our team and kit for a full outside broadcast to Wembley Stadium!

With Argyle TV, we produce high-quality coverage of both home and away matches over the season, from our broadcast quality camera crew capturing every moment to the on-screen live graphics, instant replays and half-time, post match highlights, and presenters.

We are excited to support the Midnight Walk again for St. Luke Hospice Plymouth by providing the technical event production.

We can't wait to fill the Fan Zone with bursts of pink and add to this fantastic night's atmosphere!

On Friday 12 July we wear pink...

Make every step count as our iconic Midnight Walk returns for 2024.

Midnight Walk is a family-friendly event, kindly sponsored this year by Michael Spiers Jewellers

The walk will be an opportunity for young and old to join together, celebrating memories and making new ones. Route options for 2024 – three miles, six miles, or 13.1 miles (the equivalent of a half marathon) – open up the walk to the whole family, from young children, teenagers and occasional strollers through to seasoned long-distance striders of all ages.

Registration costs just £24 for ages 11 and over, and £12 for ages 10 and under, but that only covers your official Midnight Walk T-shirt and medal, refreshments and our event costs.

It’s your additional sponsorship and donations that really make the difference to the patients who need our vital service at home, in hospital and at our specialist unit at Turnchapel, 365 days a year.

Just think, if you and every single Midnight Walker commits to raising £100, the event will bring in enough for our St Luke’s teams to care for 100 families at home. If you manage to raise £100 and have paid it in by 1 September 2024, you will be entered to win an exciting prize!
