For those who don’t know every year on Christmas Eve the Marina Bar is taken over by a group of volunteers who aim to provide a hot meal and essential gift packages to some of Plymouth’s most vulnerable people.

If you could donate any of the following items it would be so greatly appreciated, please drop them into the Marina Bar.

It is getting close to the big day, when we will be delivering a roast and rescue parcels to the most vulnerable in Plymouth. Many of these guys simply would not have had a hot meal, let along some kind of present on Christmas day, if it wasn’t for this project.

So far, it is estimated that we will be helping over 1,200 people this year, including over 300 children who are either homeless, or in temporary accommodation.

We are DESPERATE for your help, in any way you can.

You can either donate via the Just Giving link, or buy some items and donate them towards the cause. This is the list that we are trying to complete, as you can see, this year, we are miles off:

Shower Gel – 231/1000
Tooth Brush – 173/1000
Toothpaste – 148/1000
Winter hat – 108/500
Winter Gloves – 26/500
Chocolate Coins – 219/1200
Deodorant – 210/1000
Socks – 160/1000

Bring any items you have, to the Marina Bar, after 6pm on 23rd December. If possible, please let us know in advance what you will be bringing, so we can update the lists and know what items are still needed.

The Odd Strangers are a new band featuring Cam Downing, Ryan Dos Santos, Caleb Mates and Olly Skinner, and they’ll be treating us to the launch of their first album 🎶
