DEVCON MARCH 2nd Plymouth. 😃What A Fabulous Day!😃! 👏🤩HUGE HUGE THANKS & CREDIT to All who helped & supported us & to our wonderful visitors 😃👏🤩 You are all super stars!🤩!
As with any DEVCON, I totally rely on the support of a huge team of dedicated & hard working volunteers, on the day, without whom, the Event, simply couldn't run. Such a Mount Everest sized group, effort from our brilliant Team Red Floor Staff🤩 the hugely talented & amazing Cosplay Cats & Southern Troopers who always put on such a great array of costumes & activities for our visitors 🤩 Walking Contradiction, who sort all the pre-event graphics & posters, as well as helping masdively with promotions, sound & photography & to The Artside for sorting all our print needs with urgency, super quality & efficientcy. Credit to Norman for organising the Family Gaming. Of course let's not forget our Guest Actors 🤩 oh my they were so lovely & entertaining & so very thrilled to meet our DEVCON fans😃
A BIG Shout out to Final Frontier for their non-stop help & support, I know it's not always easy, but you always do it, with a smile & to our Terrific Traders & Artists, who prepare & work so hard, to make sure they have lots of variety & quality goods to offer all🤩
This event we welcomed Dark Star Gaming too, who gave up their time, to run back to back Card Gaming Tournaments, that were really well attended & received by DEVCON fans.
Once again the Crown Plaza staff worked tirelessly through the night, shifting very heavy furniture & equipment from one floor to another, to make the open space & provide us with what we needed. Everyone was such a pleasure to work along side 👏😇THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU😇👏 I'm humbled & honoured to consider you all part of our DEVCON Family & I look forward to seeing you all again on SAT OCT 4TH when we will return to Plymouth Guild Hall.

The Trader Stall look quite amazing, lots for all to love! Sadly once again our Dragon was wounded in flight to Plymouth & won't be able to join us after-all, which he sends HUGE apologies for. However, the Southern Troopers & Cosplay & Gaming Team have lots in stall for you! Don't forget the Event runs over 2 Floors, so have a good walk around so you don't miss out! Over 70 Terrific Traders are preparing their stock & starting to load up their vehicles, ready to set up tomorrow.
Our Cosplay Team are practising their lines & putting the final touches to their Order of the Day, which is jammed packed with back to back activities!
Our Giant Dragon has already taken flight to Plymouth, along with lots of Wizardry fun & games.
Dark Star Gaming are all game set & ready to offer you a full day of Card Game Tournaments with amazing Prizes to be won!

DEVCON EVENTS are super proud to paly our part in helping to raise much needed funds for YOUNG MINDS TRUST - In their own words ... WHY WE MATTER ....
The sheer scale of the problem we’re faced with can feel overwhelming. More young people than ever before need support for their mental health and accessing that support quickly, can make a critical difference to those young people. Yet, most of the time those young people need to wait. And wait. And wait.
When it feels like nothing is there for you when you need it most, you feel alone. For far too many young people, this is their reality. When they need help and can’t get it, it feels like they’re being told they don’t matter.
We have called our strategy ‘You Matter’ because, ultimately, that is what this is all about. We need young people to know that whatever they are going through, they matter and they deserve help. And each and every one of us needs to acknowledge that, to those young people, we matter and the role we can play is vital.
