We offer a high level of service for big to small weddings/ events. For beef and venison please ask.
My name is Kathy and I am developing the pig and Hog Roasting/ catering side of the business. We offer a small, friendly service that can cater for the needs of our customers from the informal to the formal event. Always willing to offer advice and support, we like the challenge of planning something a little different
As a lecturer in Nutrition, with experience of farming and education I spend
time working with children in primary schools introducing them to the delights of real food. In addition I rear Pekin ducks, meat chickens and Pekin bantams
An Oakfield Hog roast is very exciting, not only do you get great meat you also get lots of laughter and fun. If you do not like pork then our spit roast machine is also suitable for lamb, goat, venison, beef (large joints) and chickens. We do not let our Vegetarian and Vegan friends down either – our alternative food was so popular we had to fight the meat eaters away! We offer a complete catering service for your wedding or party or alternatively we can do as little or as much as you want. For the adventurous you can simply hire the equipment and do it yourself! People ask us about VAT and on all catering, as it is a service, we do have to add 20% VAT. Supply of meat is VAT zero rated. We have expanded this year and can now offer a BBQ with a selection of meats – The Oakfield mixed grill

Last of the summer hog?? Just because the summer is coming to an end, doesn’t mean the hog roasts have to!! We operate all year round, come rain or shine, wherever you need us! Might I just say, what beautiful weather we’ve had today for this delayed wedding reception, and in such a gorgeous location too! Book is for your event from the link in our bio! 🐷
Pork belly 🐷🍽
1. Pre heat oven gas mark 9
2. Score the skin (if not already done)
3. Cover with salt and leave for roughly 10 mins
4. Wipe that salt/moisture off
5. Re salt , really rub it in!
6. Place top of the oven and leave for 30 mins
7. Seriously don’t open that door , if your looking you ain’t cooking!
8. 30 mins up? Drop the temp to around gas mark 6 and continue cooking, Cook time from this stage is around 25mins/500g.
9. Should be lovely and golden by now
10. Wrap in tinfoil and let it rest for 10/15 mins
11. Aaand voila.

18 months since our last hog roast. Finally had the old faithful fired up. With the wedding restrictions,only half pig was necessary. Still enough crackling to feed the 5000!
