Sorry it's a little late but this is the first day I've had off since Valentines. A MASSIVE thank you to the staff who help me year in year out during busy times, it's you who make things possible in that little shop. Only the people who have worked a Valentines Day with us can appreciate the stress we are under, it was a total sell out!! This melted my heart today 💓
The true definition of care and respect❤️
When someone passes away with no family left to attend their funeral and they get such a dignified caring send off. ❤️
It brought tears to my eyes making this tribute today 😢
Well done to everyone involved, you really are a credit to humanity 🙏 x

Today, after another busy week, we said our goodbyes to Georgina, a former resident of Stockingate Care Home.

Georgina had no known living family and so it was up to the care home to give her the send off that this special lady deserved.

After sitting with Carly, the care home manager, and talking about Georgina’s life and how she’d moved to the USA to be an au pair before being put through law school by the family she was working for and qualifying as a lawyer prior to returning to the UK, it was sad to think there were no family members there for her.

However, Carly and the staff were amazing and we discussed ideas and options to give Georgina the send off send off she deserved.

The final result…. A personal service at Pontefract Crematorium where the staff were able to pay their respects and see the beautiful white wicker coffin, complete with floral garland and colourful flowers that we’re certain Georgina would’ve approved of.

The flowers have now been downsized into hat boxes and delivered to the care home by Blooms & Balloons for all the residents to take enjoyment from.

WOW!!! Well Mr Jones your train tribute and little robin photo from our business page has travelled the globe 🌎 Over 10000 likes, 160 comments and 41 shares in 2 days, that's amazing!!! Sorry I haven't replied to all messages yet but I'm getting there. Some messages have truly brought tears to my eyes but one thing is for sure, many of us hold robins close to our hearts. Robins mean so much to lots of people, it's heart warming that we find comfort in these unique special little birds ❤
