Great to have won the Improvement Award at the Pontefract Civic Society Design Awards for the Weighing Room!

Following the end of the 2023 season the project began on renovating the Weighing Room, it was a major scheme that had to be completed before the start of the 2024 season to ensure we could race in April 🏇

It underwent a pretty big make over, it was completely stripped out and redesigned in alignment with the British Horseracing Authority's new standards.

Thank you to KCA Architecture, main contractor R H Fullwood & Co Ltd and all involved in the renovation scheme!

Last year we introduced the option to add on a voluntary donation to when purchasing tickets online if you wish to do so ❤️

New Beginnings, based just outside of York, rehome and retrain former racehorses. They provide a safe supportive environment for former racehorses to adapt and learn new skills after they have finished their first career in racing. We have worked closely with Pam, Kev and the team at the yard for a while now, they have been bringing their horses to the Racecourse for over 10 years! You will often see them at one of our Sunday meetings with Nico, the Racecourses Equine Ambassador.

Any support is greatly appreciated!
