The cheesiest of grins from me at the end of a beautiful ceremony for Lauren and Chris at . I enjoyed this ceremony so much - there were many familiar, smiling faces in the audience as I have known Lauren since we were 4! Their ceremony was personal, full of giggles and encapsulated them both so well. Congratulations again Mr and Mrs Jones ❤️

One of my most memorable ceremonies was this special afternoon back in July... We were on a boat in Ibiza and I was leading the ceremony for my in-laws on their 30th wedding anniversary (which coincidentally is the Pearl anniversary!).

It meant SO much to me to write a script for them that weaved in their memories and kind words about each other. We even invited their closest friends and family to prepare and share their favourite memories of Natalie and Scott too!

Ceremonies like this remind me of how incredible my job is because it was a unique celebration and was exactly what they had wanted. 🫶🏽

They had first visited Ibiza to attend our wedding, so how magical to all be back there for their own celebrations! 🥂❤️

I felt honoured to have been asked to marry Lauren and Chris for their ceremony 🫶🏽 I was in the same class at Lauren's sister - Kim - in reception and we all walked to school together throughout primary school. It felt very surreal to marry Lauren and her husband with familiar faces in their audience (including Kim and her gorgeous children, who looked just like her when she was younger!)

What a beautiful, full-circle moment to experience 🥰

How has this beautiful day been two weeks ago nearly!? I loved writing a bespoke script for Joe and Beth because it reminded me of my own love story: they have also been together since teenagers and have shared all of their 20s creating memories as a couple. The love between the two of them and amongst their families was magical! ✨

The sun shone yesterday and what a beautiful day it was for Alice and Luke! They chose to make their ceremony so unique - with surprise promises, surprise readings (created by the talented bride herself!) and by involving many family members - and it is one that I will always remember. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Holden; thank you for choosing me as your celebrant 🥂❤️

I love this picture of a special little guest, who was brave enough to stand in front of nearly 100 guests and read for her aunty and uncle on their wedding day!

Choosing the readings that you would like to weave into your wedding script can be an exciting yet overwhelming task.

As a student who studied both English literature and language through school and continued at university with a dissertation then a PGCE assignment based around it, it is fair to say that I appreciate words and love exploring the power of language! 🤓

With that in mind, I have created a document filled with endless ideas and inspiration for couples to read through if they would like help.

There is even a section called "Readings for Children" if you'd like a special little person to be involved!

Some couples choose readings that are light-hearted and make people giggle, whereas other couples choose readings with deeper meanings that make their guests reflect on the moment.

Readings can be read by anyone at the wedding, however some couples have even asked friends and family to choose the readings and I have happily read them on the day.

There is no right or wrong answer as to who reads, how many are read or even which order they are read in… all that matters is that they have been chosen with intent, a purpose and to make a lasting memory of the day. ❤️

Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️

Whilst I spend my time listening to, writing and sharing love stories from other couples, today feels like the perfect day to share my own…

I met Harley 15 and a half years ago whilst we were at school. He was most definitely from a cooler group of friends and I very much fancied him at the school discos..

Finally, after winning him over with all of my Bebo love (and probably too much stalking…!), our first date was to the cinema and we then became inseparable and would spend all of our free time together.

Fast forward ten years of creating memories, finishing school, completing university and working hard to get our first “real” jobs, we moved in together. That same year, on 21st August of 2018, Harley asked me to be his wife on a magical trip to Ibiza on our ten-year anniversary. That day is still one of the most surreal days of our lives. 🫶🏽

After a few postponements due to travel restrictions, we finally had our dream wedding in Ibiza with our closest family and friends in 2022. It really was such a magical day; our ceremony was so unique and told our story so perfectly that I knew I had made the right decision in fulfilling my new career as a wedding celebrant to continue to share the love.

We enjoy all of the time that we spend together: on long walks, being outdoors, weekend trips exploring new places, long holidays in the summer, dancing at festivals, planning and setting our goals, supporting eachother with our dreams or more recently when we have renovated our first property and planned a six-week trip around Europe for this summer!

Everyone has their own love story and this is just a small snippet of the first part of mine. I love to meet with couples and listen as they share their own. Reminiscing on them is something that may not happen regularly yet always brings a smile to our faces when doing so.

The same smiles are reflected on their guests’ faces on their wedding day and I feel SO grateful to be the person who gets to ensure that this happens. ❤️
