is back for Christmas 🎄
As so many people have been asking me if I would be doing Christmas wreath workshop this year and YES I am this year is a little bit different every person that books in with me £10 will go towards
forest Home Hospice. This is in memory of a lovely lady called Kate who sadly passed away recently she used to always come and do my workshops for many years.
This will be held at The Cockleshell and it will be on Wednesdays, 6th, 13th, 20th of December during these nights, the pub will be closed to the public.

To secure a place I must have a £10 deposit per person.

One last Bouquet to go out tomorrow and that is it very mixed emotions but I could walk out of this business with my head held high, knowing that I achieved everything that I wanted to achieve and once again, I cannot thank everyone enough that has supported me & my team over the last 7 years along with my team and customers, I’ve laughed and cried, and literally had the best time.

The humble white chrysanthemum, the staple flower for a vast percentage of our floral tributes, used by florists far and wide for lettering, hearts, pillows, cushions, wreaths and countless bespoke designs.
This seemingly insignificant little bloom is currently the cause of much stress and worry throughout the florist industry.
Why you ask? In the last few weeks, the cost price of this flower has increased by over 50%, it has more than doubled, almost tripled in the last year, chrysanthemum, traditionally known as a ‘cheap’ flower is currently far out pricing premium flowers such as roses and lisianthus (which has also doubled in price recently!).
Due to the rising energy costs some growers have gone out of business, some growers have turned off their hot houses halting production and those remaining few have had to pass their rising overheads onto us, their customers.
We have tried to keep our prices steady for as long as possible but in the face of it, we have no option but to raise them significantly otherwise we simply won’t have a viable business ourselves. We are looking at cost effective alternatives and will always guide you through the options as best we can. At the moment, gypsophila and white hydrangea are looking like they will be great contenders although they both have a slightly fluffier finish. If you have any questions regarding this, any concerns or worries then please do get in touch, we’re always on hand to help where possible.

⭐️ Big announcement ⭐️
⭐️Please read ⭐️

It’s with Great sadness, and with a heavy heart to announce that I will be closing Milly’s Florist from 31st March 2023 this has not be an easy decision and not one that I have taken very lightly but with the soaring prices of flowers, bill etc and knowing that I would be unable to give people reasonable prices on arrangements is hard for me, it’s hard, running your own small business with these uncertain times and with that I know it’s time to shut shop and start a new chapter in my life.

Seven years ago, I set this business up after losing my late husband Wayne aka Milly I didn’t have a clue about Flowers and a lot of people judge me saying I would never make it but with hard work, long hours and dedication I did make it and ended up having a fabulous team working along side me along with the laughter and tears and making Milly’s Florist A well-known florist across the country. I would like to say a massive thank you to my husband Neil, My dad Who is no longer with us, my mum, my family and my friends for all the support you have given me over the years it hasn’t been an easy ride!
But most importantly, I would like to thank every single one of you that has ever ordered flowers from me recommended Milly’s Florist to friends and family I have been with so many of you on your journeys of happiness and sadness and they are the things that I will treasure the most. I’ve been overwhelmed at times with some of the orders that we have done so many times I have sat there and I say wow, we did that we made that and it’s always been a privilege to make any of the arrangements, especially for those who have lost their loved ones, putting their trust in us to make sure that they’ve always had the most beautiful flowers arrangements. I’m always honoured when I get asked to do something for Forest Holme Hospice tonight I did my 1st out of 3 Christmas wreath workshop for them with some doctors and nurses so much fun A lot of you know I’ve been on the side where I’ve watched them care for some of my loved ones so it was nice to see them, enjoying themselves making beautiful wreaths. Keep up the amazing work ladies x
