But there is more to the B.O.A.T experience than just the performance. The short ferry journey from Poole Harbour really sets up the evening, and sailing back to shore at night under the stars is memorable. Patrons often go to the island using their ticket from 5:00pm and explore the island or picnic. The ticket price includes the island landing fee, so you don't need to pay anything else to enjoy

the island. A project that takes many months to prepare each year, it is an experience that cast, crew and audience remember for a long time and relish to come back each year.

Thank you all our wonderful audiences this summer.
It has been our complete pleasure to perform Macbeth for this our 61st season.

The auditorium is now empty for another year - but keep watching to see what 2025 brings…

**UPDATE** Yes, sadly this isn't true. We wish it 'twere, but no. Twas a jape, a prank, a ruse, an amusing lark on this first day of April.

**NEWS** Ravens take centre stage in a bold twist on Shakespeare's Macbeth.

In a groundbreaking fusion of nature and stagecraft, ravens are being meticulously trained to play a pivotal role in this year’s innovative outdoor production of Macbeth. Renowned for their intelligence and adaptability, these avian actors are undergoing rigorous training, mastering cues and movements to seamlessly integrate into the production - from flying in props for the human actors, to simple choreography with the dancing witches. Trained handler, Lisa Porolf (pictured here with one of her ‘actors’ Barry) is working closely with the birds, shaping their behaviours to evoke the eerie atmosphere of the Scottish play.

Director Chaz Davenport is thrilled to have them aboard: “With their ominous presence and uncanny ability to captivate an audience, the ravens bring an unparalleled authenticity to the portrayal of the supernatural elements within Macbeth's tragic tale, elevating the theatrical experience to 'soaring' new heights.”
