Hi, my names Jon & i am the founder of Cocktails & Games. This is my story.
My journey started in May 2018, where i was asked to make some cocktails for a house party in Southampton. I have over 10 years of experience in the cocktail & hospitality industry, working in some great venues all over the world. I was recommended by a good friend & for the client to reach out to me. As i was in the process from moving from Kent to Bournemouth i was available & took the job on. During the party i met some great people & i come away thinking this is something i would like to do... A different setting every job... Sounds great to me! On the short trip home to Bournemouth i had so many ideas pacing through my mind. This is where i come up with the idea, how about guests making there own cocktails under instruction? Even better... How about some fun games in between each cocktail to really create a party atmosphere. What shall i call the idea? Why not exactly what it is & to the point! This is where Cocktails & Games was born. I spent hours & hours on ideas, designs, how was i going to host lessons? What did i need? Insurance? How does running a business work? And all the rest! Once i had social media & my website, plus days spent learning on how google ads run, bookings started to come through. Word of mouth really helped me and the company then took off a lot quicker than i had thought it would. Time has flown by & since then ‘we’ have hosted over 100 cocktail masterclasses for group parties, from Hen parties,Birthday parties, Corporate events & family & Friend gatherings covering from Cornwall to Kent, & as high as the midlands & everywhere in between. So how do i do all this on my own? Lets say i am very lucky to have some great friends who i have worked with over the years in many cocktail bars which have learnt how to run lessons & help our customers make some truly great memories.
I then thought how about stepping into the big world of mobile cocktail bars. I have the experience of managing high end cocktail bars & love running a team of 12 + staff... so why not? You guessed it, this is where Cocktails & Bars was born! I had some handmade rustic wooden bar units designed from a old family friend, which have now been used all over the south & are very popular. We now have many different types of mobile bars we offer to our customers. We have provided our services & mobile bars to many clients, from weddings, birthday parties & corporate events. From 20 guests to 300. No number is to small or large. Again the old... help a friend out phone calls went around. Cocktails & hospitality is in our teams blood. Each member of staff has been hand picked & i trust in them all.
We as a team, have built many great relationships with customers that have quickly become friends & also we now work alongside some stunning venues in the UK. Our services have become very popular & we now have the pleasure of featuring in the UK’s Number 1 ‘Bride Magazine’.
