The MUC-OFF Bike of the Night prize for 11th June was chosen by Brian March, Chairman of the Pirates of Poole on the basis that ‘anyone mad enough to ride that as a rider, let alone a passenger deserves to win!’ He may have a point!! Owners Steve Bartlett and Roger said ‘it’s from the aisle of Man and was raced in the 1980s … Honda 900 Fireblade engine’
Don’t forget the PIRATES OF POOLE will be back on Saturday with their annual pirate festival Harry Paye Day … they even have some vintage bikes in the parade

And just in the nick of time, sorry for the delay in posting ......
The winner of Bike of the Night 28th May was Michael Teague and his Norton 88 500 Dominator. The bike was manufactured in 1954 and registered in 1955 originally exported to the continent but now once again back in England.
The Judge was Oriel Restaurant’s Ryan Porter and his family. Ryan’s daughter Isabelle chose the bike with the help of her dad because it was original looking, well maintained with a beautiful chrome exhaust and wire wheels.
The bike of the night prize was donated by MUC-OFF

Well what a horrible rainy evening, but how much fun??? Congratulations to Simon Metcalf who won with his 1954 AJS 185 500cc with a Busmar Astral II Sidecar (and if you ever wondered how many landladies fit in a sidecar … 2, very nicely thank you!!)
Our judges from DocBike Dorset were very happy to pick the ‘very nice AJS with it’s old sidecar unit’ which Simon says is just ‘great fun’
