THANK YOU!

Appin Village Hall Committee would like to say a big Thank You
to everyone who helped in any way with our main fundraising events this year:

Scottish Six Day Trials
Show
Helensburgh Orchestra Dinner

Together these raised £ 3600
for upkeep, repairs, improvements and most of all to build up funds for replacing the whole roof.

Best wishes to all friends and supporters of Appin Village Hall hoping that 2022 is a happier and healthier year for everyone.

Looking back on what has been a very difficult year (or two) there are some positives. The hall has been able to re-open after enforced closure owing to Covid-19 albeit with restrictions in place and extra cleaning. During the quiet period, essential maintenance work has been carried out and new, more efficient lights have been installed.

Work is ongoing in relation to problems with the hall roof and fundraising for this has continued. Support has come from a number of sources - individuals offering skills and expertise and grants and donations from organisations and businesses such as: Argyll and Bute Council (Covid-19 support funds) MOWI, Tesco, The Robertson Trust, The Corrie Foundation, Highland Titles and Kinlochlaich Garden Centre.

Successful fundraising efforts included Tony Beckett's Dover to Durness bike ride and the publication of the first Appin Community Recipe Book.

Bringing in the new year, the committee looks forward to a return to more normal activities and welcoming friends old and new.
