A massive congratulations to Samantha Harvey for securing a place on the Booker Prize shortlist with her cosmic new novel, Orbital!
Check out what the Booker Prize judges had to say about Orbital ⬇
"This brief yet miraculously expansive novel covers a 24-hour period in the lives of six astronauts aboard the International Space Station as they observe the deeply moving spectacle of the earth beneath them."
"This novel is superbly crafted and lyrically stunning. Sentence after sentence is charged with the kind of revelatory excitement that in a lesser book would be eked out of plot alone."
Don't miss out on Samantha in conversation with journalist and broadcaster, Rosie Goldsmith, at this year's festival! 👀

Writer-photographer, David R Abram, has spent over a decade exploring prehistoric monuments from the air 🗿
Collected in the acclaimed Aerial Atlas of Ancient Britain, David's images are both hauntingly beautiful and revelatory. He shows how tombs, stone circles and burial mounds created thousands of years ago were, in effect, a form of ritual art using landscape as both material and subject. If you’ve heard David speak before you’ll know his talks yield as much entertainment as they do archaeological insight, and we’re greatly looking forward to seeing what wonders he will be unveiling for us.

We are delighted to have poet, academic and cultural historian, Luke Thompson, in conversation fellow animal-lover, Tiffany Murray!🐬
Luke’s latest book continues his grand tradition of defying tidy categorisation. It rejoices in the title, Domadomadoma-Blumblumblum: Conversations with Other Animals – the first part being a transcript of a mongoose when it first tried to speak English. Luke explores the world of animal communication through the ages, from King Solomon to telepaths.
