The Stacey Community Centre is used by the local community for group meetings and events. The centre is run by The Stacey Community Association as a registered charity which is made up of volunteers, who are local residents, people who come to a group here at the centre and those who are interested in maintaining this valuable resource for the local community. Anyone can join the Association pleas
e ask at the office for the next meeting date, they meet on a monthly basis. If anyone is interested in volunteering we have many opportunities, these include gardening in our Community Orchard, a project which evolved from a neglected and overgrown plot of land in 2009 with the help of funding from Portsmouth City Council's Healthy Pompey project; now run by a community gardener and volunteers entirely self-funded through fund-raising events. Our community garden brings the local and extended community together in a creative and productive way. If anyone would like to help in the garden they would be more than welcome to come along, tools, gloves, tea & coffee all provided. Or if you would like to bring a group or a school along to visit or maybe even hire it for a special party or event please contact our office.
