I will be hosting our second workshop on October 6th alongside a brilliant array of inspiring speakers 🧡⁣ ⁣⁣
REST FEST is set in a stunning location near 💚 No words can describe how special this event is! There’s all sorts of activities and talks you can take part in, and explore whatever you fancy on the day. ⁣⁣⁣
We will be hosting an interactive workshop with breakfast, and talking all things HORMONES 💜 Sharing food ideas to help balance them in an interactive hands on session with tasty samples using key ingredients! ⁣⁣⁣

Great spot for pan fried garlic prawns 🦐 🦐 It’s hard to go wrong with this simple dish but this is Bar Q**m’s speciality, and it’s a good thing when a place focuses on doing just a few things right! ⁣⁣⁣
GARLIC PRAWNS: ⁣
- I prep everything first - sliced garlic cloves, sliced red chilli, chopped parsley. Whole or peeled raw prawns. Cubes of butter and olive oil. ⁣
- Heat a frying pan, add olive oil and butter ⁣
- Once bubbling (be careful not to burn!), add garlic and cook for 30 seconds or slightly golden ⁣
- Add prawns, let them sizzle until cooked ⁣
- Finish with parsley, and seasoning ⁣
- Serve immediately with chunks of fresh bread to soak up the butter! ⁣⁣⁣⁣

Baby squid lightly battered. This has been my favourite dish since I was a very young girl! And the last lunch in the last of the warm sunshine this year.
Thank you for a wonderful 10 days. The first part in working for the to deliver a huge event for 500 guests which I have been preparing for since August. What a wonderful city that was - beautiful architecture, art, and people. The second part in La Cala Finestrat with the family, special times with very special people ❤️ Now home to plan the next one 🙌🏻

🍝 It’s World Pasta Day!
What better excuse for the simplest, fastest, tastiest spaghetti dish on a Thursday night after a busy day in the office?!
⚡️This takes 10 mins whilst you’re spaghetti cooks ⚡️

Serves 1 - check stories for step-by-step.
🍝
/ Halve some cherry tomatoes
/ Chop 2 garlic cloves
/ Drain a small tin on anchovies
/ Chop some parsley
/ Shave some Parmesan
/ Squeeze some lemon
/ Reserve some pasta water
🍝
Heat a pan on a medium-high heat. Drizzle in a small amount of olive oil. Once hot add the anchovies until they ‘melt.’ Add the tomatoes, let them break down too. Add the garlic. Stir and cook for about 2 mins. Add some pasta water if it starts to dry out.
Drain the cooked spaghetti. Stir in the sauce, parsley, lemon juice and parmesan. Season to taste with freshly ground black pepper! No salt required. Serve.

These are from the little hut on the seafront, The Brighton Shellfish & Oyster Bar. Served natural, I like to dress mine with a bit of vinegar, salt and pepper. Mum had jellied eels! 😆 .

Finally dined at Terre a Terre! One of Brighton’s long standing original vegetarian restaurants. It was really rather good. It took about 20 mins to decide, torn between the sharing platters, set menu and the main menu. Every dish has unusual ingredients, and someone must have had fun writing the menu, a copywriter must have had a hand in it, especially when you get to the puddings page! It’s mid range budget, but worth every penny for the amount of prep that must go in to every plate. I loved the world flavours, textures and colourful combinations in a relaxed informal environment. It’s got a nice little terrace at the back too! .
