Meet our Regional Business Development Manager John.
John has been with us at Sodexo Live! for almost 10 months. We sat down with him and ask him a few questions about his role (and his weekends!)

What’s the best part about being the Regional Business Development Manager and how would you describe it in three words?
“The best part is the journey of new business, from prospecting, to a sale, to the event, and feedback – Building Relationships. And in three words, I’d have to say Eventful (that’s a pun btw!) – challenging, rewarding”.

Tell us something exciting you’ve worked on recently? “The tattoo convention we held in May, an exciting 2 day event at !”

What’s your favourite part of the stadium, and who have you been most star struck by, whilst working at the stadium?
“Its got to be box 14, bang on the half way line, with a great pitch view! And I met John O’Shea and Tony Mowbray when PNE played Sunderland earlier in the season (Tony ex-Celtic player and John O’Shea played for United and Ireland)”

What’s your favourite thing about working with Sodexo Live!? “Being a small part of something so big and busy”.
What’s a fact no one knows about you? “I once did a workout with Mr Motivator on GMTV 1997 at Celtic Park, chatted to the band wet wet wet (I stole his plectrum for his guitar) and met Mr Blobby! It was an eventful day...”

What’s your favourite place to eat, and what’s your favourite drink? “Sexy Fish in London, anything Asian/Japanese and my favourite drink is a cold beer or a bottle of sparkling water”

And finally, what’s something you about outside of work, and what’s your favourite way to spend the weekend?
“Sport in general, watching horse racing, football and golf! In fact, my favourite way to spend the weekend would start off with a Saturday morning at the driving range with my kids, then a movie in the evening, then on a Sunday a long walk with the family and the dog, followed by Sunday Lunch”
