After seeing some shocking set ups over the jubilee weekend I’ve decided to publish this video taken on Saturday, I’d hadn’t covered the extension leads with waterproof boxes but this was done before I left the job. This set up was on grass will all anchor points used and pegged, all guide ropes are in place. If you are setting up on hard standing then you have two alternate options, the first is to use 163kg of weight per anchor point, this can be achieved by seven 25kg bags per anchor point and a total of 42 sandbags for a standard 12x12 castle with six anchor points! The second is to use thunderbolts but this is only an option on concrete and wouldn’t work on block paving or flags. Apart from ourselves the only company we recommend in the area is LJ Events who have the same safety knowledge and put safety before profit. Having spoken to Nicola and Steven they two are concerned by the number of unsafe set ups we have seen.
