Well what a busy busy day at Adamton today. A hotel full of golf enthusiasts along with a wedding and entertainment from the lovely Scarlett. Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Carson. Well what a pleasure meeting one of the actors from the film Pretty Woman Alex Hyde-White who played the character David Morse. What a gentleman. He’s been staying here at Adamton whilst attending The Open. Love when we get the odd celeb pay us a visit.

61 years ago today Elvis Presley arrived at Prestwick Airport of which he was driven to Adamton Country House Hotel to make a phone call to his wife to be Priscilla. Its the only Hotel on British soil that he visited.

So loving our new tartan carpet that was fitted in some of our bedrooms today. After all who doesn’t love a wee bit tartan !!

First swallow of the year spotted at Adamton today. Nice clear blue skies. The swallow is a common summer visitor, arriving in April and leaving in October. They are glossy, dark blue-black above, white below with a dark red forehead and throat and a black band across the chest. The forked tail is very long. Lovely to see our Summer woodland guests.
