Resting in 19.5 acres and accessed along a tranquil country lane, the hotel offers 260 en-suite bedrooms, including 27

luxurious signature executive suites located in the main house, with the remainder being in the express wing. There are few hotels in Prestwick that can compete with the stunning grounds and room facilities of the Adamton. Residents and guests are free to enjoy the fabulous walks on paths in and around the grounds. The oak lined Arran Lounge is perfect for a relaxing drink amongst the opulent period features, which continue into the lounge and restaurant. Who’s going to be our first footer ?

First footing is a beloved tradition in Scotland deeply rooted in history and superstition. It revolves around the arrival of the first person – the 'first foot' – to enter a house after midnight on New Year's Eve.

This person is supposed to be tall, dark haired and should be bearing gifts.

Traditionally they would bring coal, a coin, whisky, black buns/bread.
In return they will be welcomed with a wee dram of whisky.

This will bring Good Luck for the year ahead !!
