Organisation required for A FIREWALK. Many thanks for considering munay ki firewalking to create a FIREWALK CEREMONY for your event. It is our intention that you have a wonderful event / ceremony. Here are the practical considerations that need to be in place, to ensure a beautiful ceremony. LOCATION
First and foremost a good location is required,
the physical site that is supportive is essential for a great firewalk. OUTSIDE
There needs to be a space that is large enough to accommodate all the guests in a circle around the fire. There needs to be space and mats so people can also sit around the fire before the walk itself. There should be no overhanging trees where the fire itself will be lit. The ground should be as flat as possible, and be comfortable to walk on in bare feet. No stones, burs etc. this area must be raked and clean. Grass is preferable, and best no mud that sticks to your feet. If the area is muddy, old carpet that is wet, can be put down. The site should be private, and preferably quiet, so no noise will disturb others. There should be also an indoor venue no more than 3 to 5 minutes from the fire itself. The indoor space needs to be lit, and comfortable enough to accommodate the number of people at the firewalk. Firewalks can be arranged indoors/ then 3 layers of turf neeed supplying, and a metal wheelbarrow, and an outdoor space to light the fire, and the HOT COALS can be brought inside for the walk. It is preferable to create a firewalk at around 6 pm as the fire takes 2 to 3 hours to be ready to walk on , and is best walked on in the dark. Daytime ceremonies require careful consideration. ENROLLMENT
Invitations to participants, please make clear that walking the FIRE is voluntary, and even if one attends you receive a healing if you decide to walk the fire or not. As far as possible get people to pay in advance, either full payment or a deposit. The price is for the ceremony whether one chooses to walk or not. Assure people the firewalk will go ahead even if it rains, it usually stops as the walk starts, so to bring appropriate clothing. Give clear directions to the venue, and ask that people arrive in time. You may wish to include sponsorship forms for your participants
