Music at the Buildings in a house concert venue which has developed out of our enjoyment of acoustic music - in particular the Folk, Old Time and Bluegrass music of North America.

Their sound is centered around the pairing of the signature rhythmic Appalachian fiddle style of Oregonian Gabrielle Macrae and the driving yet subtle banjo playing of Liverpudlian Barry Southern. Gabrielle's love of traditional music brought her to North Carolina as a teenager where she fully immersed herself in the music of the region and became a sought-after clawhammer banjo player after releasing an album with the Macrae Sisters in 2008 that received glowing reviews and became an instant classic of it's time....

A huge THANK YOU to all those kind tickets holders for or cancelled Laurie Lewis and The Right Hands concert who generously donated their ticket refunds to the band. I was able to send Laurie's UK agent just under £250 - not bad for a small venue! We are so lucky to have such a fabulous audience - THANK YOU again!
With a heavy heart we have cancelled the Laurie Lewis and the Right Hands gig on 24th May. - a refund for the full cost of each ticket will be issued. However we are asking those people (over 30 of you wonderful folks!) if any of them would be prepared to forego the refund so that we can send a donation to the band to help them through a summer of cancelled gigs and no income. Please let us know if you are prepared to make this generous gesture - at the same time we totally understand that it will not be for everyone and that many of you may need the money yourselves at this difficult moment.
