They say that when one door closes another one opens. This morning I cried as I closed the door to the Craft Junction studio for the last time.
Things don't always go the way we had planned, that's all part of life.
It's been a pleasure to teach so many beautiful people in the last 4 years and to celebrate so many Birthdays with gorgeous children and their families.
Thank you all so much for your support over the years, I couldn't have done it without you.
The Craft Junction will still be popping up here and there but due to unexpected twists in life and increased competition I sadly had to make the decision to close the studio.
Sorry for not replying to recent emails, I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can.
Here's to the next chapter, whatever that may be.......

Our Wildflower Art groups are weekly and run by Kate at The Craft Junction. We have been funded by National Autistic Society for these groups and we very grateful. The group is open to all autistic girls, and young women, over the age of 10 years, who are home schooled, not in education or employment. Contact Davina [email protected]

Look out for our masks around Bridgend!

Neurodiversity Celebration Week
18th- 24th March, 2024
Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences. The Wildflower Art Class has been designing masks to create a trail around Bridgend, ‘Unmasking Autism’. Have a look out for our beautiful masks and join us in celebrating a year of Wildflower Art classes for autistic girls and young women. Thank you National Autistic Society for funding our classes. As I'm not doing Art Clubs anymore, I'm hoping to do more one off workshops. So, here is the first one!! A Valentine's special for all those Keith Haring fans out there.
We will learn all about Keith Haring before using tricks and techniques for how to paint an A3 canvas in his style.

For those who don't already know. With the help and support of some amazing people, who I am privileged to have as friends, we have set up a Community Incorporated Company called 'Art and Soul Cafe CIC'.
This is a not for profit organisation which we hope will benefit as many people in Bridgend as possible with their health and wellbeing through creative activities.

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year.
Apologies for this taking so long, I've been wairing for some confirmation from BCBC.
Unfortunately, I won't be running the after school art classes anymore as I've been offered some work with BCBC which will be 2 after school days per week. I also want to spend the rest of the days with my children and be able to pick them up from school more regularly.
I know this will be a huge disappointment to the children and yourselves and I sincerely apologise. After 5 years of running the clubs, it is time to move on to new pastures and opportunities.
Thank you all so much for your support over this time, I couldn't have done it without you.
In case it interests you, my two very good friends and previous employees now run their own after school art classes so it might be worth getting in touch with them to see if they have any places available. Lucy Berry runs classes in her studio in her garden and Jazz runs classes at Dunelm Cafe.
