I am often asked what is the difference between a registrar and a civil celebrant and why would you bother with a celebrant when you still have to sign the paperwork at a registry office? I think the following should explain the difference.

I am a newly qualified, independent civil celebrant. I do, however, have over 20 years experience in public speaking in my role as a science teacher and have spent the past 12 years in the wedding and celebration  industry as a multi award winning wedding and celebration cake designer.
