🌷Hi I’m Lydia🌷
since opening our new shop we have had a lot of new followers …… so here’s a reintroduction of myself !
🌿 I have owned The Flowerstalk for 3 1/2 years, but worked with the business for 11 years this April.
🌷I started as a Saturday girl and worked my way up through the business.
🌿 My family background is in farming and I have Degree in Agriculture and Business Management BSc from Reading University
🌷If I’m not in the florist making bouquets, I am on a quad sheep fencing with my finance Oliver - we have a flock of 150 breeding ewes that will be lambing in April.
🌿My favourite part of floristry is creating wedding florals, I love every part of the wedding process from the face to face consultations to setting up the florals on the wedding day. 💍
🌷I am getting married this September …. And yes … I am doing my own flowers 🌿🌷🌿

🌷The Flowerstalk is re-locating to
Henry Street Garden Centre RG2 9JY,
due to the closure of Dobbies Garden Centre. 🌷

🍃Shop re-opening date : TBC
We are aiming for end of Jan / beginning of Feb (once the shop is built) 🍃

❤️We WILL be open for Valentines Day ❤️

✨Can we take a minute to appreciate the stunning and show stopping arch we created for R & E 🤍🍁.
✨My amazing team absolutely smashed this out of the park. We used a huge seasonal mix of foliages and branches with a variety of copper, n**e, orange blooms 🍁✨🍂.
✨🍁Also, with nearly all our pieces, this was moved inside after the ceremony to act as a stunning backdrop for the wedding breakfast 🌙🍁.

✨The Flowerstalk 2024✨ Well…. Another successful year at The Flowerstalk, over 56 weddings completed, a busy valentines ❤️, a crazy Mothers Day 💕, a manic wedding season and we finished with a great Christmas workshop season🎄. Personally, the most challenging year of my life, after Faye and I loosing our wonderful dad in Sept, after a very short battle with pancreatic cancer 🤍✨🤍. . Then in Sept being informed we had to find a new location for my shop by January (watch this space for info 🌷🤞🏻). .
