A massive congrats to Zak, one of our lead baristas, who participated last week in Heat 1 of the UKBC championships held in London 🥳

Having started off at Gather & Gather as part of their Well Grounded Initiative Zak has become an integral part in the success of the Brew Bar at UCL. We're so proud of his journey so far and huge thanks to who has shepherded our barista finalists through this tough competition.

We’d like to give a massive congratulations to Diana Gailiunaite, Simone Santeramo and Patrick Erni over at .london for taking part in the Springboard Trek to Nicaragua, where they raised £22,000 👏

The Springboard charity is dear to our hearts at CH&CO, as it works with disadvantaged and unemployed people to provide them with the skills they need to get into the workforce

While in Nicaragua, they worked on great community projects, such as painting a school in the local Rota community, restoring a children's outdoor play area and putting up fences to protect people from being harmed by roaming wildlife. Once again, well done to all involved! ❤️

“National Apprenticeship week is back! Here at CH&CO we are very busy growing our four apprenticeship academies: Leadership, Service, Chef and Business. We work very closely with all our learning providers to tailor the programmes to the needs of our apprentices and the business.

To enhance our recruitment experience we are also focussing on our new recruits through our apprenticeship programmes. We currently have over 150 apprentices from across all areas of the business and it’s great to see so many people building their own potential and confidence in their skills, knowledge and behaviour. I am so proud of them all.

Here at CH&CO we’re still basking in the glow from what was a spectacular evening ‘Dining Under the Moon’ at the Old Royal Naval College in aid of .
With a menu designed by Ollie Dabbous and delivered by our fabulous chef team, it was a night many of us will never forget 🌙

We raised a whopping £56,840 on the night, so a massive thank you to everyone who attended and please keep sharing your amazing pictures, they’ve been breath taking! ✨

Last Friday, we ran a fantastic and informative workshop where we brought together over one hundred chefs from across the UK and Ireland to talk about how we tackle the issues of the climate crisis in hospitality.

We heard from a wide panel of experts, covering topics from common misconceptions about food sustainability to caring for our ocean wildlife 🌱

A massive thank you to all the speakers for their excellent insight and all attendees for their energy and drive to find real solutions for real change 👏

Our teams across CH&CO are doing some fantastic work with the 'Well Grounded' initiative to support Londoners into sustainable employment.

They are currently looking for over 18s who are not in work or on a zero-hour contract to join their free 8-week Speciality Barista Traineeship ☕️ All trainees who complete the training successfully are guaranteed a job at one of our London sites.
