Good news!

The toilets based at Redcar Beach Base on Redcar seafront are back open to the public following a fire last week. We’d like to thank Imaginative Productions, the new operator for the attraction, for helping us get the toilets open again as soon as possible.

Council leader Cllr Alec Brown said: "We know how popular the toilets are with the public and we asked the team to repair the damage and get the toilets open again as soon as possible.

"I would like to thank all involved for their efforts in making this happen."

Throwback to a project we absolutely loved doing back in 2021!

We recently carried out a few repairs on the Guinea Pig Village at Kirkleatham Owl Centre. From the Kirkleatham School House to the local pub, The Squeak Inn, the Guinea Pigs at Kirkleatham Owl Centre, have a thriving little village.

📣 🚾 Toilets on Redcar seafront now open

The Coastal Activity Hub – a soon-to-be exciting new facility on Redcar’s seafront – is currently in the last stage of construction.

From today though, the toilets at the facility are open to the public! There are four male, four female and two accessible toilets, and anyone can use them, even if you’re just passing by.

The rest of the facility will still be closed while the operator fits out the container buildings and the final touches are made until the expected opening day at Easter time. All building work externally has finished though, so the loos are safe to use.

Once the rest of the attraction is open, it will become a place for friends and family to meet for a coffee, and watch and partake in sporting and leisure activities right on the coast.

The ambition is to host national and regional competitions such as triathlon, rowing and cycling events.

The hub will also offer the opportunity for local organisations to host a range of their own activities and events. It could be used as a meeting place and an informal base for clubs and school groups, and will have showers, lockers, an equipment store and changing rooms.

Imaginative Productions

Imaginative Productions are an award winning creative agency and event production company based in the North East of England.

We believe in creating memories that last a lifetime through our fully immersive events.

Our flagship event, Scream Factory is the North East’s largest and scariest purpose built American-style Halloween Haunt, which sees over 22,000 people attend each year.

As well as Scream Factory’s Extreme Tour, we produce a magical, spooky family friendly tour where visitors walk through haunting sets, meet up close and personal some real life creepy crawlies and bump into some familiar characters along the way. Back by popular demand, our 2018 Twilight Tour will once again feature the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.
