Jess told us: "This wasn't just my dad, this was Anthony William Clark. Son, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, friend and colleague. When he diagnosed with liver & brain cancer in 2018, we were utterly devastated, but my father being the man he was fought valiantly until April 2019.
"He met his only grandchild which was amazing and brought so much joy during a sad time. Macmillan nurses were a constant in his life, everything else turned upside down in a short period of time but they were an unbelievable support system."
She went on to say: "In 2020, I planned to marry my best friend but sadly this didn't go ahead. The heartache of a relationship ending is not the same as the heartache of watching a loved one suffer, which is why support from Macmillan is so significant. Being the person my dad brought me up to be, I have chosen to not let a venue and money go to waste but to celebrate life and use this event to raise money."
We are in awe of Jess' strength. She's gone through an immense journey and has managed to do something so positive. 👏
