I will never get over the way the Sailcloth’s translucent canvas lights up at night. The craftsmanship that goes into making these tents is unrivalled, it is timelessly beautiful. The stitching is seamless and the window panels have no boarder or edge meaning that you get the whole view, even when the weather is isn’t great. This tent adds a whimsical elegance to any event👌🏻💡✨

A stunning set up last year in one of our classic and elegant Sailcloth marquees. They combined the tent hire with our hand crafted rustic tables, folding beach wood chairs and one of our rustics bars. We have lots of options for interior furnishings and accessories to help dress your tent and make it a totally unique space. We have new chill out sets in a more modern bamboo for 2024 along with our ever popular 360 Bar 👌🏻🥂 We can also provide hanging trellis on pulleys for you or your florist to decorate and customised white or Cornish flags ♥️ Disco balls 🪩 are always a party favourite 🕺 💃🏼 along with the indoor 🔥 fireplaces or outdoor fire bowl. Don’t forget that these items can all be hired individually even if you aren’t getting your tent through us (subject to availability). It’s the 29th Feb, who is proposing today ladies? 👰🏻💍. It’s generally considered to be an Irish tradition ☘️ harking back to the fifth century and St Brigid of Kildare.

Brigid apparently insisted that St Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, give women permission to propose marriage every leap day. When Patrick relented, legend has it that Brigid immediately proposed to him.

He refused and offered her a silk gown instead, which is why the Irish tradition states that a man who refuses a leap day proposal must give the woman asking a silk gown. This is just one of the traditions about what happens if a man refuses a marriage proposal. Of course, in 2024, women are free to propose to whomever they like, whenever they like. So go forth and propose today or any day, ladies ✨💍🥂
