Please come and move your cars folks! Our Christmas Fair is happening today, the notices have been up for weeks and parking was suspended from 6pm last night. We don’t want you getting a ticket or getting blocked in for the day! It’s only for one day! Come, move your car and enjoy the day instead 🎄😁👍

We’ve just placed the park and ride banner up at Richmond School in preparation for tomorrow! The park and ride is a free bus service we have laid on for you to save the hassles of trying to find a car parking space, with the market square being closed to vehicles for the day. The bus has a lower floor, making it accessible to everyone.
We will have collection buckets onboard if you would like to help towards the costs of this service in the future (suggested donation of £1 pp 😁👍)

Finally its Saturday 30th November so its just 1 day to go until the big day !! We look forward to welcoming you with an opening ceremony led by the fantastic Ovinos samba band and with local dignitaries at 10am on the stage located by The Green Howards Museum - after which the days entertainment on stage will kick off with Richmond School jazz band

Did you know that 80% of the market stalls at the Christmas Fair are actually Richmond based businesses ? I had a lovely chat with someone the other day about how they were planning to buy everything for Christmas only from places they could walk to ! What a great idea and with so many other independent Richmond businesses open in town on the day - why not challenge yourself to support local and buy what you can walk to get this year !

Its Friday 30th November - The organising committee has its last meeting last night - making sure everything is ready for the big day - forecast is a bit damp but no disruptive snow like last weekend !
